I think it's clever PR. He's making it sound like he gives a shit, like he's come up with some clever plan for next season.

Maybe the rumours about the potential new owner/senior investor are true & the club is avoiding making any decisions about next season until the new man is in place? It would explain why RVN believes there is a chance he'll still be here next season...
