I’ve just read that.

I know it’s Vardy and he absolutely deserves to go out on his own terms, but I find that all to be quite bizarre if I’m honest.

The Percy article says he will be on holiday next week…

It's cheaper outside of the holidays and he's now got to budget as he won't be getting any more Rudkin contracts.

He’s definitely going to be in the Bournemouth area next weekend as I know there’s a meet & greet happening

Perhaps him and Becky are staying in a caravan down there?

It's not even hit me yet.

I feel like it will at some point during the game (e.g if he's subbed off during the game), or at least afterwards on his own lap of honour. It'd be a high-level crime if he's not allowed his own individual lap around the grounds to get all the adulation and love from fans separate from the mercenaries he's been playing with this season.

I might be completely off here, but it's annoyed me hes not playing next week and in his interviews he keeps saying he can do it at the top level.

It's all as if this year is nothing to do with him, and for large parts he's been beyond shit. And he's been club captain in the worst season I've ever seen.

Maybe I haven't got the memo, and I've absolutely loved him in the past 13 years but this whole weekend is tone deaf from the club and him tbh.

Sends a weird message given he wants another contract elsewhere as well. The whole thing is just really strange. I can't see him accepting being a squad player at another club and that's all he's going to get.

Just seen Marty James and Drinkwater at M&S Fosse park… buying and wearing white t-shirts?!

Random or Vardy related?

On this day, there are still some determined to find problems.

Sorry it's all fine, and I'm really enthusiastic about our future prospects. Today is absolutely not intended to distract from the wonderful season we've had.

They along with Shinji are going to be in the fan zone before the game

Jamie Vardy deserves leaving on his terms. He has provided some of the greatest moments of joy that quite probably will never be replicated by a single player. There is no question he is our GOAT.

I never said it's all fine, because I know it isn't.

Nobody in their right mind disagrees about the future issues, or the season endured.

Today is about JV, the man deserves to be celebrated.

Like i said, I might not have got the memo but I fear this demonstrates what a soft club we are. Agree he's our greatest and deserves to be celebrated but some of the optics are poor for me and demonstrate why we will never get close to the heights we've had previously.

All we have to do is separate the disastrous season and the ongoing issues just for today and say a fond farewell and thank you to a player so central to honours that the club had never achieved before.

Putting the detail to one side for just a moment, I just think that for one day, that should be left for another time.

Or maybe you just haven't got a ticket.

Out on the piss tonight with Vardy and at the game today.

With Pearson and some of the 15/16 squad turning up today, it feels like this game is not only a goodbye to Vardy, but a closing curtain on the best era this club has ever had.

Not a bad thing, people at the club have let sentimentality drag on far too long at our expense.

It's gonna be freeing not having Vardy at the club, chance to start a new era.

He deserves every bit of adulation and praise he gets today and I hope he bows out with at least 1 goal and a win.

But, in my opinion, Vardy leaving is the best thing that can happen for both parties and should have happened 2 years ago.

Had to have a little wager on vardy to score and be booked today. Can't shake the feeling he'll be wearing an undershirt with a message on if he scores.

Hopefully the pre match show starts with him going "Oh hello" lol

Would’ve been nice if Claudio could make it, for some additional adulation. I suspect he would be too busy with Roma

You'd think so given they play at 7:45 this evening lol
