Two weeks away from the season opener, and we still haven't seen the official home and away kit. What kind of a Mickey Mouse club is this?

How many other (Championship) clubs present their 3rd kit first – weeks into pre-season, mind – and then leave another gap in between before releasing the other two kits?

Kit looks shite. The end.

Slightly related, my son just witnessed a Bai Saigon advert and immediately became an alcoholic before bursting into flames. I’m absolute fuming with the club for allowing this to happen.

I agree. I spilt milk over my table instead of my weetabix this morning, Rudkin should be ashamed.

So their home kit is red and white stripe and their away kit is red with white detailing, what sort of 2 bit club would have the same colour for a home and away shirt lol

Their home shirt is primarily white, with white shorts and white socks.

In a vacuum it isn’t a big deal, but it’s indicative of the situation we’re in. Kit launches are a very simple part of preseason. We can’t even do that right at the moment.

Even though all the shirts have leaked, the club is being an ostrich. F**k the sponsor.

You mean this one? The lighting is a bit off, the colours are actually navy, jade and white

Prefer this away kit, the pink 3rd kit is more suitable for the women’s team.

You fail to see the point. It's not about the kits per se, it's about the club's kit release strategy and communication skills – or rather,  lack thereof.

The planning is amateurish.

Just tried to explain this. Wasting your breath.

I suppose in that case you have the minutes from the meeting that explained the "strategy" or are you just making assumptions. It might be that they want to reveal it on the first day of the season. Oh and resorting to name calling simply because someone disagrees with you is unacceptable.

The issue is more in relation that it sums up what has become of the club, let’s be honest aside from the sponsor which is attracting some scrutiny, this is the missed opportunity to release the new shirts ahead of the summer and maximise revenue early doors as fans buy the new shirts ahead of holidays etc.

For me it’s just another own goal from the club and just continues to underline how stale and disorganised the club has become.

Nobody reveals a new kit on the first day of the season, don’t be daft

It really doesnt matter. The club is a laughing stock right now regardless of when a kit is revealed. If they revealed all the kits before pre season i reckon you would all still moan that they are trying to release new stuff to take attention away from the state the club is in.

Also we wont miss out on revenue. People who want the new kit will still buy the new kit. Even with the sponsor fiasco.

To play devil advocate the revenue a club makes on actually selling a shirt to fans is peanuts compared to what you get from the actually sponsor.

Clubs only get between 20-5% of the money generated from shirt sales.

The most important part of a shirt from a financial point of view is the sponsorship element.

Which suggests they're struggling with the shirt sponsor, meaning they're looking elsewhere still. If it turns out to be K-Bet after all, the delay will remain a mystery.

I mean, even the 3rd kit they've used in the recent friendly was sponsorless.

If they had managed the football side better then the club would be a competitive epl club with sponsors queuing around the block

There is the other side of kits which is a lot more difficult to record financially et al.

Children want to represent and feel part of something. There's a reason some clubs gift children at hospital or at 7 years shirts. Messing around here which affects t the younger generation (again).

There's literally a lad in my street who always has Leicester shirt on who asked me this week about the new shirt cos I am a season ticket holder ( notwithstanding this lad and his dad are completely confused by the obstacles constantly put in their way when they want to go a game, not that by the dad's own admission it was affordable last season once he takes his other two kids).
