There were spells vs Southampton where Ayew was infield and El Khannous out wide, I’d see that as the better option as we need energy at LW to work back otherwise they’ll be pinging in service for Wood all afternoon and our box will be like tin-can alley.

I did say that Ayew would make sense against these if he plays a spoiling role against their high press and prevents us turning over possession easily, but seeing that wider team sheet I have no confidence in us being able to do anything of the sort. Gonna be a long afternoon.
