If anyone is doing a 22/23 us then it’s Villa. That team just looks so average on paper, it’s aging and maybe Emery has gone as far as he can with them.

They won’t stick with a manager if it’s not working

What is wrong with teams nowadays. Villa who have been restricted still have a very decent side. They look lifeless because it’s got a bit hard.

The games over and done, it’s a long season so they are probably conserving energy now. It was quite even before the second went in.

Villa (or west ham) wolves

And Brentford

Will go down

Not a chance. Burnley will go, Leeds probably will and then it’s one other place up for grabs, which will probably be Wolves or Brentford.

Villa and Forest both vying to 'do a Leicester.' But the Leicester of 2023.

They haven’t looked like Villa of last year so far. It’s a hell of a drop off.

You'd think they've got too much to drop off THAT much, but the likes of Spurs and Everton have started ominously and could conceivably nick their spot in Europe.

PSR taken its toll on Villa, some of it reminds of us in 2022-23.. which ended in relegation. I don't think Villa will be in that sort of trouble, Unai Emery and squad they have is too good for that but I don't expect much european challenge from them this year, but also could do a Spuds and win the europa league and finish low and still get champions league football.

Palace's best player gone, their next best on the verge of a move and Glasner still goes to Villa and slaughters them. He's absolutely top drawer, top 5 manager in the league for me.

Looks like Isak might get his move to Liverpool.

Probably means others will act like he has now .

Yup, it's almost official now £130  million. What a joke the EPL has become. It needs to stop or there is no point having clubs in the league who stand a legit chance at winning. What's the point for 75% of the EPL and 100% of the football league in bothering?

We sure played a part in breaking the league but it also has been heading that way for a long time now.

Starting to wonder if promotion is even worth it?

It's sad really. Of course your goal is always to win and move up. But is it even worth it?

You guys beat the system, but i wonder if that'll ever happen again.

The top 5 or 6 teams have no competition... how man city,  Chelsea can go without penalty for surely defaulting psr is beyond me... Liverpool off last 2 or 3 years been spending mega millions...

No, it will never happen again especially with PSR.

Hate to say it but championship and below is where real football dreams exist.

Time to tell the greedy cvnts to piss off. EPL football is dead.

O'Riley leaving Brighton to Marseille.

Thought he was doing alright at Brighton.

Think he got injured last season so hadn’t played must till recently?

Joins De Zerbi there but don’t think he signed O’Riley .

Sunderland being busy again .

Potentially two more signings at least .

Don't Palace always beat Villa? I'm pretty sure in recent years Palace's record against Villa is very good.

Sept 2023 was the last time Villa beat them (6 games ago before yesterday).

Only just seen the VAR decision for Chelsea's penalty for the 2nd goal. How did Joao Pedro not get a handball given against him before Fulham's handball was deemed so via VAR?

Did Joao Pedro not make his body bigger too?!
