Since 2019, Maddison will have finished 5th, 5th, 8th, 18th, 5th, 17th, 17/18th.

Technically he can't take much of the blame for this one.

But the others...

I appreciate me putting on Sky Sports News is my own fault, but why are we still discussing the VAR disallowed goal against West Ham? I would have loved Arsenal to have bottled it but it looks like a sensible decision. Seems the TV channels try to confect controversy.

The Premier League and broadcasters love the controversy, more publicity = more money.

For me the issue is that Arsenal have consistently gotten away with similar decisions all season long.

There is no clear line. It's a similar situation to the penalties both teams got when we played West Ham at home in the build up to winning the league. Neither of those penalties would have been given earlier in the season yet it felt like referees trying to make a name for themselves.

Also, I think the West Ham player that eventually fouls the keeper is being pushing and shoved himself. It sits firmly in that area where the on-field decision was a goal so I don't understand the need to overturn it considering there is so much chaos and so many fouls in such a short period of time.

For me, football has lost it's way as an entertainment business that became massive due to the raw emotion. We're lost in an era of super slow motion HD cameras that detect and exacerbate any movement.

Football has a deliberately vague ruleset. I wish they took the mantra of "play on" and just let football entertain people rather than frustrating them.

Having just seen the VAR process for this goal and listened to what they've got to say...

I actually just think Raya should punch the ball. I think that aspect has gone from goalkeepers. They all seem to think they've got a divine right to be able to catch the ball without pressure.

I'm veering towards it being a mistake from him to attempt to catch it.

Is PL the only league in the world to not have all the "games of interest" played at the same time by the end of season?

Scenario: West Ham wins tomorrow. Spurs and Chelsea have a few days to make a long term deal regarding their upcoming clash.

Mac Allister making a twat of himself. Went bright red as a Mitchell brother after a whisky binge. Squares up to Konsa, pushes him, then collapses to the floor holding his face when his collar gets grabbed up.

State. Slot won't last long into next season if they even keep him past summer.

Probably doesn’t help it’s the FA cup final weekend but that probably ought to be the final game of the domestic season ?

FA Cup final should always be the last game of the season around end of May.

In other news, Emery managed to have his team fit for the most crucial games of the season after a well planned blip. They're going to be in CL next season and have a big chance to win European trophy. The incompetence of our board was BIBLICAL.

I’m still pissed off even now looking at Villa getting Emery and we stuck with that ***** Rodgers.
Not suggesting we’d have got Emery but that was when we should have made the change like they did.
Glasner and Slot were gettable at the time.
Absolutely disgusting how we’ve fallen.
