Unless they move they cant really do much more. Behind the goal at the bottom end they cant build/move changing rooms down there because of the river. Tends to be boggy all year round so its impossible to have a proper structure down there. Were talks previously moving to Thurcaston on Leicester Road where Anstey Town used to play but same problem with the river at the bottom end also.

Anstey Nomads

A club that is run well, doesn't undertake projects that could leave them financially worse off, a local club that caters for local fans & has adequate attendances to keep the club on a firm footing & a decent footballing set up for all ages.

With several non league clubs going over budget & ending up in administration be wary of expansion at the expense of the life & soul of the club.

I am not quite sure the money they've paid players over the last two to three seasons says that.

For the same amount of money, they build a permanent facility, get more financial growth out of that and have a sustainability about it all. They spent money on trying to put lipstick on a pig and they will still need improvements for grounds regulations for step 3. Equally the card machine going down on your turnstile is absolute disaster to getting more people in the ground. I'd love to see them succeed given they are nearest club of a good standard to my childhood home. No doubt the club needs more help from the council given its significantly sized youth set-up.

Quorn a good example when they switch their pitch to 4G of that. I really think the way they've built the club up over the years has been superb.

Is there some sort of clever app I can download to tell me where non league matches are being played in my area?

I'm in Manchester for work and fancy some football tonight.

I think the Futbology app will do what you need. Tells you fixtures local to you that are on.

You reckon a rebrand as Leicester Nomads would attract more fans or terrible idea.

About as good an idea as rebranding Nuneaton as Coventry Borough/Town/FC/Villa whatever name they're currently using I think mate haha.

Harborough with a favourable weekend. Spalding dropped points and it looks like Harbs might to be too far ahead of Real Bedford who are beginning to click but have so many games to catch up.

Harborough still to play Bedford twice, away tomorrow night, the 1st meeting.

Definitely in HT hands though.

Nuneaton Boro won on Saturday away at Eynesbury Rovers 5-2 to remain top of the united counties south, though there was around nearly 30 minute stoppage in play when the female official got injured, an local ref needed to be called in to resume the rest of the game.

There has been some real shocking scenes in non league recently, there's the other video where the #9 inexplicably stamps on the defenders ankle, disgusting.

I'd be surprised if he's allowed to ever play again.

Yeah that was shocking. Really could have caused serious damage. People have done time for less.

People just get completely caught in their context and moment. It’s why we should probably teach more emotion regulation stuff in schools.

I gave up playing local cricket as week after week my team and opponents were verbally abusing each other, threatening violence and generally just being arses. Nobody needs it, it’s supposed to be the release away from the grind.
