Ramsgate 2 Folkestone Invicta 3

A 94th minute winner saw Folkestone record their 12th successive win and stay 11 points clear in the Isthmian Premier with a game in hand over 2nd.

Didn't think it would be much of a contest early on, Ramsgate struggled with the visitors physicality and pace up top and conceded 10 minutes in. They came into the match well towards the end of the half and competed well but conceded a soft 2nd around the hour mark. Changes made in attack had an instant impact as 2 subs scored within 5 minutes to level it up before Folkestone won it at the death. Attendance 2,268

Nearly 5k at Hednesford v FC United.

And i bet there was no segregation......just reading that Truro City had set up segregation for the Vist of Yeovil and asked the Yeovil fans not to wear colours.....football has definitely gone if that's the case!

611 down Coalville yesterday, which I thought was decent. Another win for them :appl:

It was great down there yesterday. Great win against a decent side. Ronnie Morley is absolutely fantastic.

Segregation in existence at Hednesford. The ground is defacto Conference / League 2 level

I've said it before, but I would genuinely prefer him up top for City that what we currently have. Works his socks off and just 'gets it'. Someone you want to support.

That's fair enough......just seems a bit sad that fan's going up the pyramid can't get along.......or is it more about the powers that be don't trust us?

I went to the bro in law’s club yesterday, Thetford Town. They got over 400 v Lakenheath which was their biggest ever crowd. Massive got the club and chairman who over the last three years have moved the club significantly on. Hopefully the 4-1 win and chance of playoffs, gets numbers like that before down there

DKE managed to get himself sent off today for Harborough today.

They finished with 9 men ! Drew 1-1 at Barwell.
He’s been doing very well, especially recently.

I was there. Lost my brolly and some lovely chap was looking after it. The recovery of my brolly is one of the best things that has happened to me in 2025. I like going to Barwell, the stand that’s basically a trench is peak football engineering - who doesn’t want to spend 90 minutes staring at a load of fans’ arses? lol

Then a police shoot out in the evening!

For anyone looking to do a double bill of football next Saturday. You could attend Cov v Leicester at cbs at 12.30, then you could make it in time for nuneaton boro v Leicester Nivrana at the oval, bedworth which is only like 15 minutes on bus or 10 in uber.

My double bill also includes Coventry, twice.

Watching the main game on TV because I'm not parting with £45 to watch a second tier game. Then off to Anstey Nomads v Coventry Sphinx which will be considerably cheaper & quite probably more enjoyable.

Another long established non league club looks like it is going to the wall.

Harlow Town who's greatest moment came when dumping Leicester City out of the FA Cup on a freezing night in 1980 has entered administration.

Let's hope they can be saved.

Quorn 3 - 4 Spalding

I try not to get that deep when it comes to Non-League. Ultimately, it’s time spent with my Dad watching Football together like we first did in 1981 when I was 6.
However this really sucks. And the sad thing is, you knew it was going to happen.

Incredible game for the neutral. Football the winner. As well as Spalding. Champions of Step 4 elect?

It's a 2 horse race between Spalding & Harborough. Spalding are relentless though, scoring for fun.

Harborough are 2nd, with 3 games in hand, 6pts to bridge the gap.

Sad news. I went that that replay at Harlow after a 1-1 draw at Filbert Street, standing on a grass bank down the side. Can remember being distraught as a 16 year old travelling back on the coach.

All ended well that season though when we went on to win the 2nd division title. :scarf:

Went Nomads. They’ve improved no end since Logan become manager and they had a shuffle of their squad. Should have been about five or six before Sphinx equalised. Quality told though.

However they badly need to sort out their ground. The food is incredibly limited now cos they’ve leased out their kitchen portakabin whose knocking grub out on just eat. There was no working card machine on Saturday. Very little raised viewing positions. The pitch was incredibly heavy. If they are going Step 3, they really need to come up with some solutions. They should be looking at building something tidy at the empty end and clear all of the portakabin changing rooms out the way which then allows them to get something in there.

Unless they move they cant really do much more. Behind the goal at the bottom end they cant build/move changing rooms down there because of the river. Tends to be boggy all year round so its impossible to have a proper structure down there. Were talks previously moving to Thurcaston on Leicester Road where Anstey Town used to play but same problem with the river at the bottom end also.

Always wonder if they considered a 4G pitch and raise it up like some clubs do to negotiate any hill.

They really are stuck but they’ve got to sort out things like card machines and the grub situation. If they make step 3 next season, they’ve have some big away followings turning up

I go and watch them often as im born and bred Anstey. I agree with all of the above. Chesterfield in the cup was an absolute s**tshow. Its an extremely ametuer set up. From no adequete parking to like you say card machine not working (happens more often than not). With nowhere to go in Anstey the only viable option would be Groby as there is plenty of land that way but i guess that depends on finances.
