Did anyone know that as of today Quorn are the highest ranked village team in the football pyramid ?

Quorn have always had a strong side, even when I was a lad they were seen as a top side, anyone know why?  Seems very unusal for a village to sustain that for so long.

Harborough Town looking good now for promotion.

7 pts clear of Spalding, both have 5 games remaining.

HT drew today. Spalding lost.

Seen to effectively be the team of Loughborough. They did very week off the sale of Luke Varney, strong youth set up, good ground. Just proper non league club who’ve used their monies for the long term

Anstey Nomads were 11 off the top at the start of this week. 3 wins later including beating top Carlton 6-0 and 3rd Basford 4-0, they are now three points behind with six games to go

You could argue that award goes to Forest Green.

Says Nailsworth is a town on google. Anyway, I'm just referring to something mentioned on RL yesterday

Interesting pitch at Godmanchester yesterday

Only in non league eh. Very strange game yesterday drew 2-2 after coming back from 0-2 down for Boro. In terms of contest it wasn't a pretty watch, the pitch and the strong winds really affected play. I'm amazed the league have passed this pitch fit. Some areas barely has any grass and the lines certainly not straight. Godmanchester were ground sharing at Yaxley earlier in the season whilst there pitch was being amended... looks like someone popped down to Skeggy and brought back sand and threw it cross the pitch.

I enjoyed Saturday at St Andrews with the Trust.

Sometimes I personally tend to step away from Step 5/6 cos the quality is a poorer and the grounds a bit more basic. But Step 3 in particular is now a very high standard with very built-up stadiums. It's sometimes nice to go somewhere you walk all of the way around the pitch, sit in the clubhouse whilst the game is on, just do all different bits.

Boro playing tonight for the rearranged game against March Town United, probably a match that shouldn't have been played most Boro fans agree the tie should have been awarded to March due to the time that was left. However win tonight Boro will be crowned champions, will be tough though our form despite being top as dipped of late. the same thing happened last year when finished the season last, last five or six games weren't particular great. Some fans want save the win for saturday against rivals Atherstone just to give that fixture some added spice. I think that'll probably hit a crowd of 2,000.

Mentioned and moaned about this before but the regular inability for non-league matches to kick off on time is really grating. Everyone has warmed up, no delays, just get on with it.

Is there any non league club you feel have the potential to be able to compete in the EFL in years to come, I always feel like clubs like

AFC Telford United- for example great stadium and good fan base

Worcester City- Quite a big place not to have a team in the football league, decent fan base and of course currently playing at the impressive sixways

Kettering Town- Historically another club came close many times, let down by the old election system we had back in the 70's and 80's. Rockingham Road a decent ground back in the day, better than the current ground. A better stadium for  Kettering Town they would have serious potential.

Dulwich Hamlet- Of course attracting huge crowds.

With all that, once you're in the national league it's very hard to compete with league 2 teams that have just come down.

It won't be any you have mentioned but would be nice to see a surprise in the coming years
