The last five years as been great period for Leicestershire clubs, for some time the only second biggest club in the county was Hinckley United. You would need then to dive deep in to non league to find other Leicestershire clubs. Now of course you got Harborough Town going strong, Quorn in the play offs, Barwell... doing okay with the village of its size. Anstey Nomads grow stronger every season, of course before they withdrew from the league's Coalville Town managed to reach the second round of the fa cup within the last few seasons.

I finally gave mine up after 27+ years and have not looked back one bit.

Enjoying my time since 2020 supporting Brackley Town and even though we may well be heading back down to the NL North (my favourite league) it's been a fantastic season.

I watched 10 minutes of Bournemouth v Sunderland last week in the clubhouse before the home game at Brackley and those few minutes of PL football looked horrible compared to what we see in non-league.  The play acting from grown men was enough to remind me that I'm very much done with big club football apart from the odd visit if I feel like I need to sample a big crowd atmosphere again.

Barwell looks a great place to visit for games, same with Quorn too.  My dad played for Anstey years ago so I should one day visit them for a game.

I'm from Shepshed originally and rarely went to the games there which I now feel like I should have gone to more.

The only downside I've spotted is the keeper going down "injured" tactic breaks has entered non league as well, bar that I love it.

I went to the hipster club of Manchester, West Didsbury & Chorlton this Saturday.

It's a bit Dulwich Hamlet (ie. lots of chatter and drinking beer but not many eyes on the pitch). However, it's a nice vibe down there, lots of families about. 1100 crowd. Very little abuse of the referee which is welcoming to see.

Great win by Quorn today. Harborough with a decent point v Real Bedford. Barwell right in the relegation battle again.

Anstey looking set for 2nd while if Shepshed keep their form, there's a chance they will have the Nomads in the playoffs.

Harborough's point would've been better if Spalding hadn't been 2 down, then had a man sent off, but still somehow beat Halesowen 3-2.

Harborough still have the advantage. Just.

Nuneaton Boro played away at March Town yesterday, not vintage performance from ourselves losing 1-2. 86 minutes in a Boro fan took ill, luckily both physios were quick to react. Five minutes later ref blew up abandoning the game. Most likely the result will stand. The supporter is thankful okay after a night in hospital.

Attendance was never announced but looked a good following from nuneaton around 200 at least for what apparently is our furthest away day of the season. Nice setup at March. They attempted to semi segregate... try and work that out. Ironically staff from March used the term "nuneaton brought too many fans" 🤨 not we underestimated how many away fans would travel.

A massive away win for Coalville Town last night, to reach the UCL Cup Final!

Coalville were absolutely brilliant. Great night.

We certainly were. First cup final in 8 years.

Do we know who they'll be playing? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Stamford should be a good day out for it.

Boro had a few players out, but still no excuse for a performance like that the only positive there was no more goals in the second half.

As did Coalville. Our second top goalscorer and another who’s arguably our best midfielder.

We were just far better on the night.

The other semi final is Kimberley MW vs. Moulton, but there’s an issue over KMW playing an ineligible player against Clay Cross.

I’ve heard it’s this Saturday, but I can’t see it listed.

Tough one for harborough tonight, can go 8 clear with a win tonight with 6 to play

Finished 2-2. Fairly even 1st half. Harborough dominated the 2nd. Bedford scored a late equaliser.

A bit of hope for Barwell, glorified Sunday league manager Jimmy Ginnelly has quit the club (down to family commitments) nothing to do with them sitting in relegation zone and no win in 13 i believe.

FA Trophy Semis today, Southport leading Southend in what would be a big upset, 0-0 between Marine and Wealdstone at present.

Potential for a tasty local derby at Wembley if Marine can do their bit 👀
