Rochdale are less than 20 minutes away from kissing goodbye to the National League title.

oh well.  Was hoping York would go up today.  I wonder after being so close to promotion it could affect the York players.  I'd fancy Rochdale to beat them on the final day. What a game that could be.

To take us away from the misery of the county's professional club...

Harborough promoted to Step 2 (National League N/S), first Leicestershire team since Hinckley to play at that level

Barwell relegated to Step 4 in the same league.

Could be days from Anstey being promoted to Step 3 as well.

Hard to believe Anstey might be at step 3 next season, doesn't seem too long ago they were in the leicestershire senior league playing teams like Aylestone park reserves.

Pleased for Harborough Town, one interesting stat I believe there the first Leicestershire side to reach step two of non league since Hinckley United in 2012. So good for them. Some good away days for them to look forward to next year.

Nuneaton Town (boro) finally clinched league title yesterday beating Northampton Sileby Rangers, nice little ground they have. So the Boro in now step four likely going into Northern League Midland Division one. Some decent derbies awaiting next year. Interesting the United Counties League South still have another round of fixtures to go despite Boro playing there last game yesterday. Think it's safe to say it's between Coventry United and Atherstone Town for that next promotion spot.

Sadly bad news for Barwell, relegated yesterday.

Coalville Town potentially chucked out of the play-offs. Ineligible player claim against potentially double figure points deduction being spoken about.

Little bit confused about this one if it's regarding Cole McNulty.

Unless the FA website is wrong, he had a 3 game ban starting on 21st Feb. He wasn't in the squad for the games on 21st Feb, 24th Feb and 7th March, which were the 3 after. The FA site still has him as suspended, so I dno if it's a glitch or the public facing site doesn't match the WGS system.

It's to do with him being sent off in the U21s I think. Should of served the suspension in that competition, even though there were no games.

I thought that, but the FA website itself says "Saturday Football" which accounts for senior games as well if the player is registered in the senior squad.

Fascinated to see the outcome as I'm genuinely baffled based on the publicly available info haha.

Seems very odd and looks like it's absolutely knackered the weekends football. Should of been a great day down Owen street on Saturday.

Playoffs postponed?

Held off until sorted. Same happened last year with Eastern Counties last season and they didn't finish until middle of May.

Harborough Town being promoted to the National League North is fantastic for them, interested to see how they'll cope at that level. Would be fantastic to see them eventually reach the Football League one day.

I think that's 3 promotions in 5 years.

Will need to bring in a few new players, a prolific goalscorer would be great & another central defender or 2.

Loads more travelling involved next season, so we'll see how that effects things.

They did beat Worksop 3-2 & Peterborough Sports 4-1 from the NLN in the FA Trophy this season & took Altrincham (National League) to an FA cup replay.....so they've had a sniff of the standard higher up.

Exciting times !

The suspended player played in 10 games and the maximum points deduction is 12. For some reason the league decided 9.

I didn't know it was that many. Haven't they just included the cup game as the punishment then to make it 9 not 12.

From what i can gather...

Player was sent off for u21s on 14th feb.

Suspension for Saturday football category started on 21st feb. Club believed player could serve suspension for first team. So he missed games on 21st feb, 24th feb and 7th March.

He then played 10 matches over March and April.

Apparently he had to serve the suspension for the u21s. Bear in mind, in this whole time the u21s have only played 2 games since his redlol

From a sporting pov the club have looked to gain no sporting advantage. The player served a 3 game suspension. Incorrectly in the eyes of the FA. But the mitigating circumstances meant that the punishment was lessened.

I could understand the outcry if we had tried to swindle the system, but we clearly haven't.

7,000 at step 4 to see Bury.

Anstey effectively needing a point from their last game to win the title.  Shepshed could sneak into the playoffs if they win and Warwick and Coleshill both lose.

I can't believe rochdale did it again this week, a 99th minute winner to keep them in the title hunt, they'll flippin beat york now.  And then York will blow the play offs.

Imagine get over 100 points and still not getting promoted, needs to be two automatic spots. Think it's third season in a row where the second place team as achieved over 100 points.
