At Shepshed Dynamo match and the ref forgot to play the added time for the first half and blew the whistle, has ended up bringing all the players back on to play the 3 minutes lol

Happy for Stuart Maynard

Done well to bounce back from a tricky time with you guys.

Maybe more his level or less pressure although probably was a bit at York.

Every manager has a tough gig these days but the key is to recover from it.

Well done to both Anstey Nomads & Harborough Town, champions of their respective divisions and a great advert for local non-league football.

Hopefully both see increased numbers supporting and revenue from people who have turned their backs on Leicester. Both more deserving of the support and more rewarding to follow.

Went to watch Atherstone beat march town 2-1 yesterday in united counties semi final. First half was awful picked up second half. Atmosphere was strange, 550 in attendance. If you been sheepy road, nice ground.. they have lijed two ends with a grass banks. There was loads of families present having a picnic. Barely any of them were watching the game. Goal went in only half the ground celebrated. It was like watching a game in local park with families around minding there own buisness.

Cov United beat Aylestone Park 4-1 in the other semi final. To set a final against Atherstone. Cov Utd scoring for fun, so predicting an Cov Utd win.

I was told over the weekend Harborough signed a player from Coalville and he got a 10k signing on fee!!!

Not quite. Harborough signed a player from Peterborough Sports who used to play for Coalville, and allegedly gave him a £10k signing on fee.

That is bonkers money at that level. Maybe I'm naive but any romance of non league is lost with that sort of figures being thrown about.

Agreed. And when you see clubs at Step 6 with budgets of £2.5k per week, it further diminishes the charm.
