They don't seem to have ever got their head around how to create jobs and growth so far.

Given the two numbers causing the biggest issues for the government are small boat numbers and employment figures, you'd have thought it will be a focus over the next 3 years, together with general cost of living.

Small boats? I thought they’d stopped after they smashed the gangs

Have you ever expected any other party to complete a manifesto commitment within the first two years of a parliament?

Do you think attempting to stop the gangs behind it is a bad idea?

What do you think has led to the rapid rise of small boat crossings over the last decade?

What do you think could be done differently to stop them?

Unemployment was rising but no doubt Labour have caused it to rise faster.

Other part is AI is putting pressure on unemployment too now.

It's a much smaller part than what they have done in successive budgets. It's a big problem and a growing one that they need to fix.

It is big problem. Not really sure how they fix it either tbh.

The short term choices arent really an options tbf.  They seemed to of bet big on the longer term investment which I do applaud them for even if it will end up knee capping themselves politically.

Hopefully some of the positives signs coming out of the economy start to lead to proper growth

It's genuinely bizarre that AI has already cause huge amounts of disruption and unemployment and the government and media is near silent on it.

The latter won't because it's a nice metric to beat the government with as we've seen above.

Huge issue, youth unemployment is also a continued issue. Levels will increase further in 6 months once the next cohort graduate university/school leavers. Many keen to get into jobs will be left struggling to get anything.

It's a huge concern but similar problems elsewhere. 20% youth unemployment in China and fast rising graduate unemployment in the USA.

Then added knock on of reduced birth rate, as the age bracket that historically would be having kids are still living at home, have little job security or no job.

What do people think of these of pictures of Epistein being still alive in Israel, real or fake?

Haven't seen them. Is he sitting on Shergar, singing a duet with Elvis?

That's the great thing about 2026 - we have no idea if any photo or video is real anymore.

Ah when id been winding you up about ai?

Up to you I guess

Yea, when I asked you some questions and you told me I was stupid and wore a tin foil hat and refused to answer anything, that time, yea.

But you want a serious conversation with answers now, when it's on your terms, just to clarify?

Same people walking round blindfolded and deny that labour are at fault for the rise in unemployment, are probably the same people who think the board aren't responsible for our downfall as a club I take it?

Not even the Shires, it's the wannabe Shireites in the new builds and leased car brigade who are the happiest of clappers for them.

I have to say I find happy clapper discourse incredibly confusing. I thought they were generally seen as being an older, M&S wrap eating demographic now I'm hearing they're Labour voters. These happy clappers do seem like a very contradictory and interesting group quite unlike others, we must study them.
