Makes sense for him to go in September in time for the new leader to take charge and lead the party at the Party Conference in October.

Starmer was bloody hopeless but Rayner or Streeting would be on another level.

Another Reform councillor bites the dust, and rightly so.

The vile man who said it was 'good' a Sikh woman got taped has quit after being elected last week. The story about his comments actually broke before the elections (at least a week before?). He's been expelled by Reform too. Makes you think why didn't they do it before the elections, and further goes to show they (and their voters for the most part) are so brainwashed that their moral compass has deserted them.

Reform and the Greens are full of the dregs of politics. This is going to go on for months as they realise what a bunch of idiots have been voted in.

Out of Streeting and Rayner I would pick a general election.

That said Starmer clearly needs to go and be replaced by someone who can articulate an actual plan instead of incessantly telling us what the problems are.

Some arseholes in their for sure.  I wonder though if over the next 2 years we start to see a higher calibre of person getting involved, now it seems they have a real chance.

Meanwhile I shall hope the Conservatives get their shit together.

Does that appear likely at the present time?

Always a good time listening to the journalists shouting questions at the cabinet members as they walk into number 10.

"ARE YOU MEASURING THE CURTAINS, MR STREETING?"

Yes that was painful yesterday.

Telling us all about the disadvantaged in society and how although he's a multi millionaire he could relate to it as, he didn't quite say it but was at the point of telling us again, his dad was a toolmaker.

Even then he doesn't get the obvious joke in there.

I really don't think he's the full shilling - I'd seriously be checking his back catalogue of work as he can't suddenly have become so incompetent.

I don't really understand where the distaste for Streeting comes from? He's done a decent job so far with the NHS and he is a strong orator.  I suspect he would give Farage a punch on the nose or two.

if I had to pick, it probably WOULD be streeting.   I like what Burnham stands for in terms of his Mayoral politics, he is very cross party and collaborative which is how I think politics SHOULD work... but lets be honest, that approach doesn't translate well into Westminster, unless he is suddenly going to introduce PR.

Starmers shortcomings are obvious, but honestly, as a prime minister... he's done alright, especially on foreign policy and approach - which lets be honest - there's been a heavy need for!

His biggest drawback, is that he fails to paint the picture of hope and tell the story of where he wants to take us as a country.

not helped by the fact that 80% of the UK media are wanting him to fail anyway.

It's so ridiculously inane.

Anyhow, everyone knows what the next move should be. Starmer stays on for long enough to allow Burnham to be eligible.

In other news, a high level US delegation is heading to China this week.

No doubt the McDonald's in downtown Beijing will be doing a roaring trade.

Is Keir Starmer a multi-millionaire?

His biggest failure has been Reeves. If he sacks her this week and undoes her policies that attack employment and growth, he could still see out this term IMO.

Mahmood and Streeting have been a success. Mahmood changing the government approach from Cooper has worked for them.

All academic if people have less money to spend, unemployment is rising and businesses are going under all over the show.

I'm sure that the Chinese will be gracious hosts and appeal to their guests sensibilities by removing any kind of actual flavour from the food and making sure the drinks have extra corn syrup in them.

If he stays fair ****s, you’d divide the country even more with a new PM.

He’s got twelve months now to start pushing some positivity.

Politics at the moment is all about running this country down. It’s time for people to stay talking it up. I’m bored of the negativity. I’m bored of the noise Reform saying everything is shit.

fecking KP Happy Clapper!:)

I know Greens aren't that fancied on the whole, but Reform are just a different level, sorry.

I can't say I've ever seen a Green MP ask for Nigerians to be melted down, or condone a Sikh woman being raped...

It is reported that there are around 30 Green councillors being investigated for racist or extremist content/comments and around 15 from Reform.

Lets hope that any that are proved are removed from their positions.

Are any of the Greens one ls just for saying 'free Palestine' by any chance?

I agree with your last sentence nonetheless!

Not sure on the specifics but as that isn't criminal in any way I suspect it will be more severe that than.

If that were the benchmark then it would be considerably more than 30.
