Backup goalkeeper on a free then spend whatever we have on a striker.

Centre back and centre mid on loan.

Try and keep BEK and try and get a good price for Hermansen

Also we have Hamza for midfield/right back cover.

As bad and as potentially as arrogant it may seem on here if we keep the majority of those above is still good enough for a play-off place as a minimum IF not automatics.

They might not be good enough for the Premier League but they are more than good enough for the Championship.

I hope you're proven correct but we'll have to agree to disagree on this. I see us as finishing mid table at best.

Yes,  but you just said that they weren't good enough for The Championship.  That's not true.  Whether or not they are good enough for the Premier League is a different matter.

Where is the benefit in keeping them ... if they are good enough for the championship there will be no use in keeping them on if we were to get promoted... they have proven they do not have the quality  .. passion... or fight for the club or the fans .. I am expecting there will be some mental  hangover from last season .... the club needs a total refresh in all areas ...

I agree. I'd like to ship most of them out but that's a different point.

It’s a great and fairly balanced post, and I agree.

Not being negative at all but certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see us on a transfer ban.

Might not be a bad thing when our recruitment has been heinous over the past few years except the odd decent signing here and there.

If we get Dyche I imagine it will be something like this

            Jakob
 Justin Coady Nelson Thomas

 Fatawu  Bilal  Skipp   Mav
               Ayew

                   Daka

Can see Bilal leaving if we get Dyche though so probably be Winks in there.

An upgrade on Daka would be key though.

As with last time, it's going to largely come down to how somebody can't reset the mood/culture. Not as many good players as last time but the actual balance is probably better.

Striker/CM key and then anything less than playoffs (promotion really) would be a travesty.

Daka just not good enough to lead the team need to be replaced asap. That’s if we can get a manager who can have some money to spend

Topic about holding our own in the championship, gets derailed with people wittering about these players not being good enough for the premier league? Am I missing something.

No mate.

There's alot of negativity on here currently so I thought id try to brighten the mood. Were in a good place going into next season again and could do very well.

Well said mate - completely agree - the negative narrative on pretty much every topic in the forum is depressing- we need to do our bit to change the mood just as much as the club do - plenty to be optimistic about going into the new season

A small oasis of positivity

It neither lessens or cheapens the past ‘issues’ it just embraces a potential future that may not be totally negative.

I spend increasingly less time on here as a result, which is a shame…. It messes with my naturally sunny disposition !!!

We’ve had a rough few years…. It’s the way of things for clubs like Leicester…. And yes we can continually analyse why and who’s to blame (there were many f@ck ups),  but in the end I like watching us play football and even more so when we win,  but I get over it when we don’t (lots of practice in that regard last season)
