So you DO have a detailed knowledge of the club’s and KP’s finances, but you cannot be bothered to share them with us lesser mortals. Got it

Owners contribution is more restricted in the championship than it was in the PL.   top is our majority owner

we take sponsorship money from KP

whether top is prepared to put any more funds in is very questionable

whether king power are able to make a significant sponsorship deal is very questionable.

hence we are relying on parachute payments to see us through the next couple seasons. Therefore we shouldn’t expect much transfer spend at all unless we make significant psr profitable sales.  Thats more than we’ve done thus far.  BEK for 24m isn’t sig either.

We are not getting 30/40m for BEK. Not enough leverage to demand that. We are into the second game and no significant signings. We still very much need to sell. The aim I’m certain is either for him to stay or to sell for what we paid.

This is Ornstein reporting. It’s interesting that Palace have started talks but no (usually Fab style) “BEK pushing for move” stuff. Palace doing what Parish is very good at doing, see what’s out there / does it fit the budget. He is probably looking at a couple.

We'll get 30 +. Too many clubs interested. Would like to see him at leberkusen once Simmons goes

There hasn't been any sign that Bilal is pushing for a move. He'd probably be happy to move, if a bid is accepted, as has been said, but that isn't the same as wanting out.

I do think that the squad size has been the bigger factor on players not coming in, over finances. We've been making a tidy profit on the outgoings so far, once all is added up, and it should be more than enough to deal with any PSR woes, especially if we make a few more small profits ala Choudhury.

I could see Bilal going to Palace, but it won't be for a low balled offer.

The Hutchinson sale has set the price of £37m, if Palace meet that, then I think the sale has to be made, unless there is no time of a replacement. But if the Joao Rego rumours have weight, as they seem to, then the replacement is already on the way.

Either way, I see zero reason to panic on this one.

"Please buy Bilal,

El Khannouss Bilal,

I just don't think you understand,

That if you buy Bilal,

El Khannouss Bilal,

I'm gonna put your penis in my hand."

We won’t! If nobody nibbled at the release clause any deal will be under 25m

How does that make any sense?

We don't want to sell him. If no one wanted him at £30m release clause, then anyone that wants him now will find the asking price increase.

Not at all. Nobody was willing to pay 30 to meet the clause. They will 100% be knocking and testing our resolve at lower figures

I keep sending an estate agents an offer of £20 and a box of Carling for a house, I think their resolve is starting to break. Any day now.

Where do you think all the stories are coming from?

His agent. Same place all of the Tielemans stories came from every window, despite him clearly never wanting to leave the Midlands.

It raises Bilal's profile, and helps a lot down the line when he is looking to move. And if a decent offer did come in this window, then bonus for them.

His agent is his mum, and she's been doing a great job. That doesn't mean he's actively pushing for a move. He's still playing, he hasn't downed tools, and supposedly wants to help us get back up.

Do you pay attention to anything?

We likely need to cash in on him, the release clause gave us a nice bargaining chip but as the window end creeps up and the player makes a fuss, watch that fee get lower

Haven't the first lot of parachute payments already been invested in a loan?

Yes. Thanks. I think you have phrased it better than I did. We have  outstanding loans taken out against premier league income so I suspect we may need some of the parachute payments to be that security now.  A bad situation to be in frankly.

"Likely".

Based on what.

Are you someone else claiming to have the in depth details of Leicester's financials that I'm dying to see.

I'll say it loud for the people at the back.

WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FINANCIAL STATE OF THE CLUB IS!

We know they're not great. We know they're recovering from a bad few years.

But what we don't know, is that we have to sell, despite what every armchair Kieran Maguire says. It's all assumptions at this point.

The last few sales, all of which made tidy profit at the cost of players that didn't weaken the squad to lose, may have been more than enough to prevent any new issues arising. We don't know.

What we do know, is that based on the sales so far, we've only sold players that we could afford to lose. Bilal does not fit in that category.
