One interesting name on that list is Jesse Marsch.

I didnt vote for him, but I still firmly believe that if we would have got him instead of Dean Smith, we would have been better off.

He would certainly have us pressing and attacking. I’d have him over Dyche and Wilder. I guess Marsch and Hassenhuttle sit just under Rohl for me. I just want to see us press and look hungry.

The sad thing is that I don't care. Boston are having a pretty decent preseason (they've signed Raikhy and Grist funnily enough) and I'll be going there more this season anyway.

Absolutely no way Carsley would leave the England set up. He’s perfect for the U21’s and will be in the main job after Tuchel. For that reason I’ve ignored that option as well as Rosenior who’s just signed a new contract at Strasbourg having got them into Europe. Both beyond the realms of possibility.

I thought for a minute we had appointed as manager Graham Poll, former referee.

 

I can relax now and return to being confident that we could maybe possibly perhaps appoint a manager that will return us to glory.

That’s absolutely wrong. Carsley did a great job in charge of England. We played much better football him than we did with Southgate. We had one loss against an excellent Greece team whilst playing with an experimental lineup. An 83% win ratio whilst giving debuts to 8 of his u21 team is definitely not a spectacular fail. Gareth.
