I feel like you are just wanting to argue to be honest. If we were desperate for the cash, BEK would have already gone. We have sold lots of players and reduced the wage bill significantly, spending no money and stating we don’t want to sell BEK.

No I’m asking you who publicly stated we do not need to sell?

He is isn’t going to be sold, if it doesn’t benefit the club.

so it’s not quite as simplistic as saying he would’ve been sold already.

That would depend on what’s been offered

It’s not been publicly stated but it has been banded about that due to the sales we’ve made we are sitting a bit more comfortably regarding PSR - it’s also been well noted that we had a set fee we were after for Bilal which seemed verbally agreed with Palace and we’ve now changed that demand a bit higher because of this.

It was Dorsett who said it

The part about the asking price for Bilal seems spot on now

Good. He will be one of the best players in the Championship if he doesn't throw his toys out once the window closes.
My only fear is, a team comes in last minute with £35million and we then have that money to spend but not enough time to get anyone in.

Not ideal but if that does happen, we should be working to ensure targets are lined up to come in on January 1st if we know that funds are there. None of this messing round until the end of Jan. We have 20 games between now and then, a lot and we might be off the pace but it’s still over 20 games to go if we can act earlier once the window reopens.

I think we could still bring in loans anyway unless I’m wrong?

Loan window closes at the same time.

Hopefully we bring in about 10 regardless of BEK leaving in this window. If he does we can use the newbie and Ayew before reassessing in Jan.

Ah ok, thanks.

Bring in ‘a’ 10 or ‘about’ 10? Latter might be overly ambitious!

Dorset clearly another still out of the loop. £35m to prise him away now being reported as £26m agreed

Is anyone else starting to like this guy. We seem to have a manager with a bit of nous. He knows what he has got himself into but is backing himself to make the most of it. It may take a while, but already he seems to have had more of a say in terms of who to come and go from the club. The way he has dealt with ELK is what we have needed from a manager for some time. Let's please get behind this one and give him a chance and a couple of seasons.

He’s been dealt an unwinnable hand and is still finding a way.

Judge him at Christmas, not now.

The club have let him down by not backing him.

He literally said in his first interview that he liked a 'small squad'. Reading between the lines he knew exactly the type of transfer window we are currently experiencing was on the cards.

How do you know he didn't know what he was getting into.

If we want to get back to the premiership we need good players Rudkin has sold ours and not replaced them

We have to be PSR compliant.

With all the players sold or left massive amount of money saved in wages we should be well inside psr. With a chance of the league punishing us does not give the manager a chance. Where all the money going king power
