We need a bit of stability and a connection with manager, team and fans. Think he understands that, so hopefully he’s around for a few years, if so he’s done decent job.

I have just got round to listening to the live podcast. He is a very impressive man and coach. It has been a while since a Leicester manager has got the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. Also great to hear he has been down to the recruitment department and educated Glover that character is just as important - if not more so - than technical ability when scouting. That's something we haven't done for the past decade.

Yeah ultimately it will be results dependent however if you were to try and handpick a personality needed to come into the football club with where we are, it would be him. Really hope it works out.

As per my last post in this thread, still not convinced. We were second best against 2 league one teams and only thanks to a moment of brilliance managed to get the 3 points from them games. Scrapped past a poor 10 man Sheffield Wednesday and then outplayed by a doggo Preston. Even before the red card today, we we were second best to a poor poor team in Oxford.

 

The only glimmer of hope was against an unfit second string Fiorentina.

 

You can shove your sound bites where the sun don’t shine, Marti’s an amateur with a ropey cv. Talks the talk but very much doubt he can walk the walk. Not convinced at all.

He cannot start Skipp, Soumare and Okoli together again. 

 

If Winks and Faes are staying, then they must start as they are better players and give the team more balance. 

 

He also needs to figure out what to do in attack, as Ayew drops too deep and it just doesn't seem to work as a lone no.9 with no pace. 

I will give him a pass for this game, in terms of team selection/formation, but I hope we see changes for the starting line-up in the next game.

The binning of Soumare and Skipp will come but would’ve been harsh after the Brum game. Reckon it will be Winks and James next Saturday.

He won't.  Clearly some players were unsettled by the transfer window, Winks you'd think was looking for a move, and Ricardo has been injured yet again.  

 

Within a few games I will be disappointed if we see much of Soumare, or even Skipp.

 

People need to calm down a bit.

If I had a slight criticism of Marti, it would be that, while he's good at fixing problems at half time, it's problems created by him picking the wrong starting 11.
