Nothing wrong with his performance today. Absolutely bizarre to single him out. 

I did yes, I feel he will struggle to play as Cifuentes wants him too, I just think if he comes up against a dynamic winger with pace he is liable to be exposed. There were a couple of times he got left for dead today, and playing the high line like we do would require someone with more athleticism there. I just don’t really rate him, happy to be proven completely wrong.

If we can keep Mavididi, Fatawu and BEK then we're probably top 2 end of the season. 

 

We just need to get those who don't want to be here out of the club asap. 

 

I liked the look of Nelson, who seemed agile alongside being strong and physical. Otherwise, the starting 11 did well, although Soumare looked done by 75 mins.

Someone correct me if im

wrong but I recall enzo only wanted one of the wingers to really attack or it mightve been fullback. Marti seems happy for us to threaten down both wings. Championship teams won’t be able to cope with Stephy, Abdul, BEK at all.

Both wingers attacked. Ricardo moved to the base of the midfield while Doyle and later JJ went from LB top LCB while in possession.

He will. He will comfortably get double figures. I’m happy where this team is at, our attack is frighteningly good, if it stays as it is, and we’ve got young talent to come in off the bench too? No reason why this group can’t be the top scorers in the league.

Hermansen 6- Nothing to do, but some good short and long distribution. 

 

Choudhury 7 - good energy, not composed or great quality in any of his work but is needed in squad

 

Vestergaard 7 - just ok and not playing the same role he did under enzo. no trust in soumare or skipp so went wide or in to ayew more often.

 

Okoli 8 - front food defending but had an easy ride in the first half.

 

Thomas 6 - nothing too bad but didnt / doesnt commit to his actions going forward

 

Soumare 6 - some nice flashes but an absolute positional disasterzone. constantly just off it.

 

Skipp 5 - good energy but very little in the way of output - what even is he as a player? jack of all trades master of none. Have the lid off aswell ffs.

 

Fatawu 9 - pure class. Had their whole left side on toast. Loving the new back to basics lid.

 

Billy Canoes 7 - good touches but not the heartbeat of the team youd hope. Looked committed.

 

Mavididi 7 - great energy and looked up for it. If him and Marti hit it off he can be a big influence. 

 

Ayew 8 - good goal and linked play well at times. Needs to be number 2 up top option though.

 

Daka 5 - loads of pace, load of shite. 

 

McAteer 8 - some class touches and good turn of pace. Will be needed this season.

 

Monga - 7 - showed for the ball and took his man on but got little change.

 

Winks 8 - looked like a class apart from Skipp/Soumare

 

Nelson 7  - looked a different player from the one that went to Oxford. Should be in alongside Okoli

 

Faes 0 - get out of the club.

 

Aluko 6 - some good signs but not om for long.

 

Page 7 - not on for long but looked confident and will be a player...

 

Ndidi, Alves, Justin, Ricardo, Stola, Kristiansen, Souttar not playing is interesting.

He's had a good pre season but is still spent after less than an hour, we need to bring in another forward.

Got to be a case of others have jumped in front of him .I know he’s young and had a bad injury but he’s just one of those players I’ve never been overly impressed with . I hope he proves me wrong .
