Probably need to move fast messrs Rudkin on this.

Do you think Kone is good enough? I’d be in that battle for Akpom on loan personally

Saw him a few times last season and wasn't blown away with him against league 1 opposition.  However, I hadn't appreciated he's only 21 and only recently made a large step up from non league.

At £5-6m and on modest wages there is very little downside, if he flops we should still be able to sell him after a year or two with minimal losses.  No brainer, just need the club to act swifly.

You can see what's happening can't you.

We've identified him as a target but we can't afford to bid until we get rid of someone, so he's holding off from moving to Swansea because he'd rather come here but we have no cash and we move so ****ing slowly its going to take us weeks to sell one of Hermansen, Bilal, JJ or whoever to make the cash.

He's eventually going to give up and sign for Swansea because we take too long (Swansea will later sell him for 10-15m profit.)

Meanwhile, we'll leave it til a few days before deadline day to give up, panic, and make a quid-pro-quo PSR diddle deal with Leeds where they finally match Bilal's full release clause of 30 odd because in return we agree to buy Patrick ****ing Bamford for probably two to three times more than we could have gotten Kone.

We'll give him a 5 year contract, despite the fact he's in his 30s, he'll score only a couple goals more than Jordan Ayew this season and we'll never see the money back.

While it might be a better option this season, we’ve got Ayew and Daka out of contract at the end of the season. It’d be nice having at least one striker who is ours, we can develop and will be here for longer than the next 12months.

I think Mads, JJ and Ndidi will go this week. Bilal will go in the last day(s) of the window and we will claim we never had time to replace him despite knowing he would go all summer.

With our track record yes

No wonder our confidence and trust in their judgment is shot to bits.

I wouldn’t give them a toothbrush to clean  in case they f***** it up

Surely we can afford £5m….. we’ve offloaded Coady and Vardy and soon Wilf, which makes a huge difference to the wage bill. I refuse to accept we can’t afford Kone….. it’s probably more down to the fact we’re weighing up if it’s a good move or not.

at 22, Kone has a the potential for a much higher ceiling than Akpom who is 29 and arguably a top end Championship striker at the very best.

Kone could be scoring goals regularly in the Premier League in a couple of years and valued a lot higher than the relatively small fee of £5m that gets him

That's Swansea out of the race then.

Believe that’s in reference to Akpom. Can’t imagine Kone will get much more than £20k…
