He's young, so he'll have a really bad performance like today, it's just part of his development. It's more worrying that this season he's been part of a defence that concedes at least 2 goals a game and he rarely stands out. I don't care what he did at Oxford anymore, I care what he's doing right now. Even with the odd half-decent performance (that people blow out of proportion on here) it isn't good enough.

He might be good on the ball but he isn't even making the passes out the back anymore.  His one drive he attempted he wasted time flapping and then tried to cut back and messed it up getting a yellow.

 

Okoli can barely make a pass yet the ball keeps being given and expected to start the attacks.  I can't stand seeing those two pass sideways to each other until its given away.

 

How wedded to being a CB is he?  He's young enough to change position, he could do the role that Skipp has been given.

I forgot that because of the run and strike from JJ.  I still stand by him not playing out of the back as much even though he is the stronger of the two.  He is better than what we are seeing.  He was starting to make some driving runs but they have stopped.  I guess there is little point if Mav and Thomas never run forwards to receive the ball.

I still think he will go on to have a good career but he needs to eliminate the mistakes. Even against Bristol City he gave away a needless pen. 
 

He needs to be rotated in and out. It’s too much pressure for him to be the regular lead CB. Lascelles in next week and let Nelson alternate with him.

The only reason he gets some on here who defend him is because he's an academy product. Fact is, he's useless. He's slow, cumbersome, has no awareness, weak in the air, I could go on. He's cost us probably 12 points this season through his own individual mistakes. How he get's selected is beyond me. The only thing I'd say is that he's far from alone.

Merit in all the criticism apart from this. Get your eyes checked if you think he's slow

bad game but honestly he's still breaking through as a player and needs competent players around him to coach in those things that don't become instinct until you're experienced. So, we of course put Okoli next to him

He is a good player, but like most of the team his confidence is completely shot.

 

He is out of contract at the end of the season, but cannot see him wanting to stay. Next year's team is going to be miserable to watch.

On the plus side he didn’t cost anything and is on a low wage compared to the value others bring and combined they have stopped us being able to spend this season. There are a lot of expensive has been problems at the club
