there's a shocking number of people who think that being a fan is cheering your team no matter what, and that by clapping that they're better fans than people demanding standards and effort.

Many of these people are usually silent throughout the game until it's time to clap them off, so I don't even know if it's about cheering your team.

Nothing new but extremely baffling as to why there was a small number of people applauding the players at the end. We're just too passive as a fan base. Imagine what's happened to us happening to someone like Everton? People applauding that would be getting their heads kicked in.

Best not to over think this too much.

I've come to the conclusion that a small number of people will always clap the players off at the end.    It doesn't matter if we've lost 5-0.    It's just what they do.    They always clap the players off.     In the same way, most people who leave games early - it doesn't matter if we're winning 1-0, drawing, or losing 1-0.  They leave, because it's just what they do.

Even Reading fans are above us.

tbh most negative chants from the SK1 area don't originate from Union FS but normally higher up

Exactly, tells you the intelligence of those blaming the group that they can’t differentiate. I seen there was some other gent trying to cause an argument after the final whistle again yesterday.

I watched that as well - what a brilliant idea to choose to blame a fellow fan after watching relegation get confirmed for the 3rd time in 4 years by a load of gutless, selfish players - because obviously its the fan who was booing who is at fault for this situation

These people are thick as shit.

UFS should be starting those chants and applauded for it.

.

.the club is being murdered and people are arguing about who starts negative chants.

**** me sideways we deserve what we get

Well there is that and we're heading to L2 at this rate anyways.

It's frustrating people not singing anything about the board or King Power Out, but piping up at a self deprecating song though.

I don't know any other club that would just laugh and accept what is happening here.

To be honest, there were still fans at Hillsborough in October refusing to boycott games because “We should be getting behind the team”. Unfortunately some fans cannot see the bigger picture, or don’t want to see it.

If only there were a way to document those in support of this regieme as it currently stands and ensure that they are held accountable when it inevitably meets it's end.

If I had the time I'd have been capturing every poster on here that went waffling on about careful what you wish for etc just waiting for the day.

Home games are bad enough for atmosphere with many sitting in full king power merch and sitting in silence but I cannot understand in any way the point of going to the other side of the country on an away day and sitting/standing with your arms folded in silence and almost preventing and looking down on those who try to create atmosphere it’s like there’s a snobbery over those interested in creating atmosphere

I think it is difficult. You want to support the team and don’t want players to point to the toxic atmosphere as an excuse for poor home performances. However after a positive atmosphere at the beginning we saw little or no pressing or urgency from the front and by the start of the second half it was completely flat in the stadium. It was almost as if the lethargic and passive approach was infectious. The frustration with lack if substitutions then the shock of the goal not just the mistake but the pathetic tracking back finally got a response but even that tailed off.

There were points in the first half where they showed intent to get forward and the crowd responded, in return we seemed to keep that momentum up on the pitch then there was something silly like Thomas turning back rather than playing Mav down the line or Fatawu stood offside as we work it brilliantly out to him and it just killed it again.

From the minute they came out in the second half you knew we were going to struggle, crowd was flat, players were flat and they didn't give any reason to get behind them. I think this is almost an issue the club has created as well though, its a very sterile, generalised environment, there's nothing unique to us or our history as a club within the stadium (the video montage doesn't count, nearly every club in a bowl stadium like our own runs their own with their respective clips).

Few localist games depending on where you are in the county next season, once relegation is confirmed.

Peterborough, Burton, Mansfield, the. The potential of MK Dons, Notts County etc, depending on who comes up from League 2.

Then the first ever meeting between us and Bromley.

That's the bit, I genuinely can't get my head around.

Home games?   Yeah I understand that.   Season Ticket.  Routine.  Turn up at home 23 times a year.  Sit there, not very interested.    Sadly - I actually get that.

But to make the effort to buy separate tickets and travel god-knows how many miles to an away match.   And then just sit (or stand there) in silence.   I just don't get it.   Why bother ???

what baffles me is after we went 1-0 down some started chanting "sack the board".... i'm all for protests and kicking off but the board are not to blame at that particular moment for Mukasa trying a short FK, for Ricardo not chopping him down and for their keeper making some good saves in the first half. That is on the players. it's all well and good chanting "not fit to wear the shirt" at 90 mins, again all well and good but we need to be doing MORE. these lot have let us down time and time again. It'll be the same for the 2k that travel to Pompey and the same for those that attend vs Hull and Millwall where we eventually confirm relegation.

No it's all on the board. This is beyond one season. It's a steep decline of 5 years.

the root cause is the board i fully agree. mismanagement from the top down without a doubt. but in those single moments at home to Swansea/QPR/Norwich/Oxford it is the players not putting the effort in.

We don't have a board in the usual sense and at least nominally Rudkin wasn't on it until his recent promotion.

Top, Liu Shilai, Apichet, 'Monica", Herrilhy, Alan Dawson (Ops director), Russel Jones (new commercial director), Tony Kavanagh (Associate Director of Training Ground Operations - seems odd to me), Sam Chambers (Associate Director Of Content, Marketing & Digital).

I think its because the chronically poor talent on the pitch and general performances is a symptom of the board's failings over the last 5 years in respect to recruitment, contracts and managerial appointments so yes Mukasa and Ricardo were shocking but their continual presence alongside figures such as Ayew and Daka is a result of the actions of the board

I went Norwich in November and there was a few coach 1 kpfc loyalists on the row directly infront and the old women sat there (in a standing section so any view of the pitch was impossible) and scrolled through Facebook for the full 90 mins

Lemmings, just go to say they are loyal supporters but add 0 input. Might as well have the painted on mosaics when stands are being built.

Good to see this point raised, very much agree.
