Excellent work by the singing section on Tuesday. Absolutely wound up the loyalists who cannot compute that, if they do not like what is being chanted, they could do it for themselves. "How is this helping!?" Yes, far better to sit there and contribute nothing as per usual.

I felt similar. Look Tuesday night was not pretty and I wouldn't have done it all like that again however there were far more who appeared to not like what was being chanted that could have started up other songs to out muscle them vocally.

 This is why I respect the singing section and Union FS. They put their heads above the parapet and try to be proactive in doing things- creating at atmosphere, Tifos, foodbank collections. And that is why they get criticised, because they are visible and audible.

 

If they packed it in we would be even more soulless and dull.

We were already relegated, there was no hope. It’s delusional pretending otherwise.

Even though the chants in the section were not "the usual", the Rudkin chant was actually loud and something that would have been audible on the pitch. It's not even that negative (unless you are Rudkin), it shows the discontent to him but the love for the club ("All I care about is LCFC" being the line). So actually, it was fairly positive in the grand scheme of things.

 

The problem is the 90% of fans who think they are superior because they are "backing the lads" by turning up, sitting in silence and applauding every poor shift we have had this season. They haven't "backed the lads" one bit this season. The section have done for 90-95% of the season but unfortunately, by the end have had enough.

 

The only way it gets fixed is if we have a club who cares about the fans and the community. Not a terribly run club who chuck money at absolute rubbish and build a squad that has no connection to the fans. It causes frustration and anger amongst those who actually care about the club and those who just turn up oblivious to what is going on. If the squad was likeable and put a shift in most weeks, this would be a mute point.

But we weren't already relegated.  That's the fact I'm stating.    And there was hope, albeit not very much admittedly.   

And if we had won, and got relegated by other people's results.  So be it.   Give them hell then.

I sit in P3 and booed Winks LOUD when he warmed up... booed even louder when he came on and in response a good number of rows starting clapping loudly. i am sure they weren't responding to me directly but they were definitely making a point to the booers.

I was in SK1 on Tuesday for the first time since safe standing was put in. Glad I went to be a part of those giving the pelters this lot deserved. Honestly feel so much better than if I'd stayed at home moping.

 

It's a shame that the surrounding blocks don't join in with much. It wouldn't take many to amplify the singing section right across the ground.

Yeah this happened, certainly on the SK2 side.

 

Literally dozens of people turning to the singing section making w4nker gestures or putting ‘2-1’ fingers up as if the most important thing at that time was one-upping their fellow fans who had shown some self-respect and genuine care about the Club’s situation. 

 

These people are beyond help and need to follow King Power out of the door.

years, and I have to say this forum , which I once respected , is clearly now only those that think they are better than everyone in the main, as the ‘singing section’. Opinions aren’t balanced and it’s just such a disappointment that others opinions aren’t allowed. Also the whole ground has been quiet all season- there understandably has been no atmosphere anywhere and that includes the fosse boys. Obviously I won’t be agreed with but people need to take a long hard look at themselves, especially those that bemoan people for actually going week in week out (I booed the players on the pitch Tuesday btw so I get the frustration! )

The issue is that there are genuinely few other opinions. People who are still KP in can’t seem to articulate why so resort to name-calling and claiming they are better fans.

Took them 43 and a half games to show the effort levels required to compete in the SECOND TIER while being paid premier league wages and taking us to what will be our worst points tally in the league in 141 years - even WITHOUT the points deduction if we don't win both remaining games. We were completely cooked. When Thomas scored, my reaction wasn't "YESSS, WELL DONE", it was "WHERE THE F*** HAS THAT BEEN SINCE AUGUST YOU WORKSHY BELLEND?!" It's hard to "get behind the lads" in those circumstances - if anything it's a source of anger to see it when it's far, far too late. Proof they're capable but simply haven't been bothering to try.

Honestly I'm surprised one or two didn't go full nuclear and invade the pitch. The pricks deserved far worse - but seeing all the anti-board and KP out stuff was very cathartic after half a decade of unforgivable rot.

 

Friday is going to be another fun one. In a perverse way, I'm looking forward to it more now, knowing we're down and there's absolutely no ambiguity that our club has disgraced itself.

There was quite literally about 2% chance of staying up. Needed something like six results to go our way.

It is straightforward. If people do not like what the singing section are chanting, instead of flicking the V's or gesturing the score, chant the positive songs. Drown them out. Don't go on Facebook and social media saying how much you back the lads, actually do it in the ground.

 

But they don't. They don't join in with the positive songs when the singing section start them up. We heard in the West Brom match how little they contribute.

 

That is my view. You aren't banned from having yours.

They are absolutely allowed, and I’m still waiting for a comprehensive counter argument for - clapping the players and being King Power in.

 

i would love someone to come on here and understand why, with really thought points why some fans are pro king power and pro clapping the players
