A few great runs and loved to see him with a couple of flair tricks.

This is the sort of player you just say do your stuff and give him freedom

Still think his best position will be playing central as a number 10 linking up with the striker.

Don’t really have the luxury to try him there because of our lack of good options on the wing.

Another issue with this play style is the obsession with stockpiling CAM’s (Chaplin, Cullen, Doyle and even Smallbone, Reid and Howell can play there).

I think we're looking at some players getting loaned out in January.

Im praying this is a wind up and it’s gone over my head because if not Jesus Christ.

Alves was arguably our best player yesterday and we completely lost control when Braybrooke came off for the chuckle brothers.

You’re joking right? Either that or you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about!

Oh dear... My guess is :fishing: for attention...

he spent to much time in the RB position I suppose this is MRs solution to having too many substandard defenders. It did show that O'Hora does have some basic skills which he showed a few times when he was in front of Alves but better to have Alves up front more.

Just like him to be a bit more direct at times. Almost lacks belief he can beat a defender.

They use to say Harvey Barnes was better when he was angry. Maybe Will is the same!

Disagree. The thing I Iike with him him is that his first thought is always whether he can go forward. He was probably more cautious because despite being our best attacking threat, the manager lobbed him at wing back for some reason.

Got lots of things to work on but given this is a lad that was famous at 15/16 for being in ultra skillful, the fact he's had the discipline and footballing brain to play multiple positions already, means I've got 0 worries about what he can achieve in his career if he keeps working hard.

We have descended quickly and all of you seem to have adjusted to us being this level very quickly. Alves and Braybrooke both had more hype than KDH and Barnes did, when we were challenging for champions league. Reality is they are far beneath the level that was promised.

Neither of them look remotely as good as both KDH and Barnes did at same age at same level. KDH was motm nearly every week in the champ for Luton. Barnes the same at West Brom.

Reality is they are championship players at best and neither are ripping this league apart by any means. I don’t dislike either and probably my favourite of current squad to watch, but very sadly this is the truth.

No disrespect  but the hole you started digging for yourself is just getting deeper.

Sometimes, and I should know, you just have to accept a bad post👍🏾

Both Alves and Braybrooke had serious injuries so have missed 18 months of development that Barnes and KDH had. Alves in particular had serious question marks over whether he would play football again.

Dewsbury Hall himself said Alves is the next big thing for Leicester, considering this is Alves's first full season in football I think he has done well.

Mahrez was getting 4 goals 4 assists in league 2 at 21 for example.

To be fair, KDH was 22/23 when he had that loan at Luton. He didn’t do much before that at all.

Barnes was a bit earlier but was still at Barnsley on loan at Alves’ age. Alves also had a year out injured that set him back so it’s an unfair comparison.

Braybrooke is a bit old but also lost a year through injury. He still isn’t really behind KDH at the same age.

Unfortunately for both Alves and Braybrooke, they are not currently playing for a competitive football club so that will harm their development. Braybrooke is out of contract in the summer and you’d expect he will move on so it will be interesting to see how he does.

By league 2 do you mean The Championship or Ligue 2?

KDH and  Barnes are two of our best ever players from the academy and are top quality prem players now, not sure its a fair comparison .Hopefully both will improve as the season progresses, if not we are ****ed, because most of the loan signings and senior player’s are even worse

I think amidst the chaos of how shit and toxic we’ve been the last few years people have forgotten when it comes to your standard youngster it actually takes a while for them to develop. Unless they’re a freak like a Yamal or Mbappe at 17.

Because of the situations we’ve found ourselves in we haven’t been able to afford to just accept young players need games.

Nelson last season is a good example of it, if we weren't in any danger and just mid table his mistakes could’ve been forgiven and the scrutiny wouldn’t have been as bad.

Alves is 21 and has missed a ridiculous amount of time due to injury so he’s already behind. In his entire career so far he hasn’t even played 40 league games!! The most he’s played in a season is 14 at Cardiff. He’s already on 9 for this season. He’s the definition of raw.

It’s the exact same for Aluko. He’s raw as **** but it’s totally normal! Showed his inexperience against Peterborough with some awful defending but when he came on against Doncaster granted it was only a small cameo he did well.

We need to stop looking at our youngsters in the context of playing in the Prem
