All these comparisons to Sheffield Wednesday’s fans problems, are quite honestly, an insult to them. We have not had anything like the upsets they have had. Our players have been paid when they should be and up to the last 3 years, we have had a good PL team. This was destroyed by Rodgers, Top and Rudkin and now we are suffering the frustrations of their actions/inactions. I’m fed up being told on here, by people who don’t attend matches and make out that this is some sort of protest, that everyone else should adhere to this action. We’re told to do anything that involves showing disdain or hate for a club we love, by people who admit to not giving a toss about the club. Coventry are suddenly wonderful, (going well), so perhaps they are the team for you. We know things are bad, just because we still show support for our club, doesn’t mean we are stupid. Those of you who don’t support them anymore, stop trying to tell others to do the same? You seem to be relishing the troubles we’re having, just so you can say told you so. I find it irritating that comments made on this forum, are made by people who have no interest in the club. What’s the point?

Why would I want Top gone if I relished the current shit show?

Wait until we no longer have EPL money, and see how stable we are then.

What are you supporting? The club or the owner?  You act as if they the same thing.

No at all it’s actually a very good post mate.

I think you need to re read mine though and Perhaps appreciate the sentiment a bit more.

Tops essentially a lost little boy without his father,  I mean for most of us on here we are used to that as that is life, for him, not so much. The silver spoon tends to work in two ways in my experience, kids that take it and drive with it and ones that fold under pressure.

He appears to be the later.

And that’s why he’s just better off calling it a day.

Yeah you make a good point. I referred to having the resources to make his dad proud, resources that is regular mortals wouldn’t have. But by having everything handed to him, he was never equipped. Which is why, going back to my point, I think a few more years would have made no difference.

I have been thinking about this and I just don’t see it ever happening. I agree with your lengthy post a page up. I have said similar about the route of Sheffield Wednesday. Those who scoff, don’t seem to realise that this is how Wednesday started. It is only in the last year that things have really escalated into what we see now.

But fast forward. Let’s say we end up stuck in this league, or go down to L1. And we end up in a dire situation that ultimately leads to staff not being paid, point deductions and not paying creditors, leaving us staring at administration.

Even in that scenario, do you see our entire fanbase pulling together and protesting like Wednesday have done? I don’t. There will be plenty saying Aiyawatt has the right to do what he wants because of what happened years ago.

You’re not wrong. And I know you’re spot on.

It won’t happen. If KP were to offer out free beer against Blackburn, EVERYONE would be stood there beer in hand.

Which is one of the reasons this club is doomed. The majority of the fanbase just don’t care enough, like you say, it’s like Top has the right to do what he wants…. If we were to all arrange a wholesale boycott, half would still turn up and the club would offer tickets out to people and the “lovely day out” brigade would all turn up.

Away from home is probably where we would have a better chance. There’s a larger cluster of like minded fans who go to away games, so we could potentially stage a protest.

I don’t really know what the answer is, it feels like we’re pissing into the wind trying to even come up with anything….. we need some more meaningful than derogatory chanting….. we need an action…. Like an agreed mass walkout, or a peaceful protest at Seagrave…… something needs to happen, because this club is heading towards a disaster.

Agreed with all.

I simply don’t think the people of Leicester have it in them to take a stand and fight back like the people of Sheffield have. Too soft.

A bit like the old industry’s both City’s stood for

Sheffield is where Steel is made

Leicester is where a soft woolly jumper comes from

Good analogy! Northern cities tend to be more no nonsense and take more pride in their football teams as well.

There are literally a dozen issues at the moment. Recruitment. Manager choice. Tactics. Fan treatment. Involvement (or lack of) former players at the club now etc etc.

But....the most staggering thing in my view is.....we have broken the rules to get here!!!

Over spent and had to fight in courts for what exactly?!! To lose to the likes of Hull and Millwall.

We can't even get cheating right!!

Fan base hasn’t got it in them - too worried about not missing games, don’t forget LCFC is some people’s entire lives. Needs a hard reset on match day but not a chance

Always the club. Happy to see Top, King Power and Rudkin OUT.

The fan base is very divided but deep down I feel most are probably on the same page with some extremes both ends. I think we need a way of pushing back that satisfies all though who want to see change. People such as yourself are resenting the suggestion you don’t go. That results in you making digs back at people who have chosen not to give the club their money. Ultimately, we are all fed up and want these lot out the club.

What would be your chosen method of voicing displeasure?

Pointed out last week that a ten point deduction would put us in the relegation zone, and that the form of Sheffield United and Oxford was better than ours. It was more to play devil's advocate as that's around the harshest deduction we could expect before arbitration, but it's still within the realms of possibility.

The gap's now eight points, and we face Blackburn who are seven behind and one point outside it. How long do we have to slip until the gap is small enough for even a moderate deduction to put us well and truly in it?

It's not so much the band playing on as the Titanic sinks. At this point Top is playing Nero's lyre.

Yeah we have some fans that will continue playing their violins no matter what, but in this analagy Top is more like the captain sacking his first mate and repeatedly sacking the restaurant manager in response to Him hitting the iceberg before giving himself a pay rise and taking a luxury lifeboat where he can watch the Titanic sink from a safe distance

If the point deduction does put us in a relegation battle, it’ll be quite poetic of this pathetic owner.

Yes but it’ll be PSR’s fault won’t it !!!!
Just like it’s every manager’s fault we hire

I think we are some way off boycotting games. Banners I think are the most noticeable way of protest as vocal protests are not always heard . Also, not everyone is prepared to join in with the swearing abuse. Remember when we had the leaflets for MON? These were waved all over the ground. With the blanket TV coverage we have, banners would soon be highlighted but would need to be well spread around . I actually don’t perceive any suggestion that I don’t go down.

Yeah I get you. I think it’s about protesting in a way that will get most people on board. When things are done in certain ways, it won’t attract some who otherwise back the sentiment. This is about uniting the fanbase as much as possible.

I also don’t think people need to stop attending. The problem is that many who attend aren’t doing anything or in most cases, actively working against those trying to raise concerns.

Top reportedly insisted on this playing style having seen it work under Enzo. But football has moved on, physicality, pace and transitions are now key.

Shows how a lack of an external director of football is costing us, Top needs someone to push him and get rid of the yes man that is Rudklin, or he needs to go.

Disagree. As I have said elsewhere, if we got to the stage Wednesday did  I.e players and manager walking stands closed friendly fixtures not being fulfilled transfer embargo’s etc you’d see the fan base take action.

Sadly this is reactive, what we need is a proactive approach and getting a fan base to get behind that is far more difficult.
