Could you imagine if we actually got something like this from our club rather than the rubbish we get in Top’s programme notes

Just to have some actual clarity and recognition of the situation from above

If we can’t spend, if they are spending nothing due to PSR, why the stadium expansion is stalled etc. just be clear with us on it

https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/statement-board

We know results and our current position aren’t good enough, and we share supporters’ frustration.

Following our relegation from the Championship, a rebuild has been needed. We were not strong enough to stay in the division and a squad reset was required.

That work is now underway - with a new coach, new staff, and a competitive squad being built for the long term, with the clear goal of returning to the Championship.

Injuries have made the start harder than expected, but we also accept results should have been better.

This is not a quick fix. It is a medium - to long-term process that will take time and patience.

All money that comes into the club is used for the benefit of the club. Some is spent; some is invested - but none has gone back out to shareholders.

Separately, we have invested an additional £12.5m into Foulston Park alongside the operating costs of the club.

A full breakdown of where money has come from, where it has gone, and where it is planned to go will be shared at a Fans’ Forum in September.

Our aim is clear: to build a competitive, sustainable squad and return to the Championship the right way.

Relying on short-term transfers or loans has brought benefits in recent years, but it has also left us exposed when players have been recalled or moved on at critical moments. That is why continuity and development are key.

Our focus is on building a squad of our own, and we believe Tom and his players are the right people to lead this rebuild.

We hear the frustrations and are determined to put things right.

Now more than ever, the team needs all our backing.

The Board of Plymouth Argyle

There’s more chance of us winning the premier league again than that happening.

If (and it's a big if) our board did this it would be 50% blaming external factors i.e. COVID, 50% crying about people being mean to God-Emperor Top and 0% admitting fault or taking any responsibility for anything

@Foxes_Trust

Show this to whoever / whenever you meet with the club next

Trust have pointed such examples before and have other groups within their faux fan engagement framework

https://foxestrust.co.uk/11895/lcfc-and-the-communication-void-part-2

All the examples contained within this statement (examples of Southampton & Ipswich's senior directors/chairman with communication) have been shared towards the club.

The club have minuted in their own Fan Engagement meeting minutes that the communication isn't good enough

https://assets.ctfassets.net/0wcpt07qzvlh/1uOI8uSsVMQ5g952GIAU2h/4575045c93647256aad678297af7f46d/FanAdvisoryBoard_MeetingFour_.pdf

'Fan sentiment and the lack of communication from the Club about relegation and future plans were addressed.....Fan representatives stressed the importance of communication from the Club leadership as soon as possible.'

It was felt that the disconnect between fans and the Club was largely due to a ‘communication void’ from

the Club. Group members felt unhappy with the lack of communication from senior leaders/owners at

the Club about relegation and requested a statement from the owners/leaders. They felt this should be

across multiple channels including video and should be backed up with personalised communication,

such as a personalised letter or calls to some Season Ticket Holders. Members would like the Club to

outline what the plans are to rebuild, even if that is a long-term plan which doesn’t immediately include

returning to the Premier League – they want to know that there is a plan that they can get behind.

We are beyond the point of showing them examples of what good communication is. They don't want or won't do it. That's even when fans say it within the confines of their fan engagement meetings, frameworks and whatever idea they want to push fans concerns down.

Leicester Comms teams quaking at the thought of releasing a statement like this instead of wishing a player happy birthday

As much as I am not a fan of the Director of Comms, I think even if they wanted to do such a statement, the chairman would not want to. I think it's underestimated how the club is completely tied to one person, their decision making and it operates in fear of not annoying them.

Self-fulfilling culture mind. It's what happens when you allow an ownership group too much worship and forgot to remember what a football club is.

The fact we still get the happy clappers post stuff in response to this like what owners ever respond to fans? Just about sums it up for me.

I seen a post on Facebook yesterday telling everyone how Whelan and Rudkin overseen our best ever period so it's clearly not their fault.

I can't even be bothered to engage with these clueless cuckolds any more.

I’m interested to learn how long a medium- to long-term process is.

From a business point of view, Medium is usually considered to be around 3-5 years, long term is 5+ years
