Given the circs I don’t really see what else Martí can do apart from starting Alves and Nelson ahead of Vesty and Soumare (moving Page deeper).

A half arsed Harry Winks is better than both Skipp & Soumare.

Great to see kids involved but this could be an absolute disaster. Very weak side and that bench... yikes. 

 

I'm on a flight from 12.35 to 14.55 and tbh am absolutely delighted with that. And i HATE flying.

Yuck.

 

I'll give him todays game to see if he has any actual tactics other than pass the ball to the wingers and everyone else stop and watch them.  Lets see if the fullbacks push up, create space and drag players away from doubling up on the wingers instead of just standing back and waiting to pass the ball backwards.  Lets see if he has stopped Ayew from dropping deep, running in circles with the ball and ignoring everyone, maybe he has drilled it into Skipp and Soumare to drive forwards with the ball and pass to a player in space or track runners and defend.

 

Sadly I think we have a manager to match our players.
