How do you know ?

He'll not want to be sat in the stands for the rest of the season... Showcase yourself on loan and get a permenant move in the summer somewhere where you are wanted but not somewhere who is desperate for a half season (as Jan moves).

Maybe.

I see Russell Martin as the board carrying on the same trajectory, but actually getting the man they wanted.

Driven out of Falkirk in a taxi. Brussell is a fraud.

Nope, at the time I was told that we should be aiming higher and that we'd moved beyond that type of manager.

I'd also suggested Emery as a replacement for Rodgers before he joined Villa.  But again, he was seen as a failure and not enough stature for us.

I can believe people turned their noses up at Moyes.

However there is absolutely no way that people would have seen Emery, who had just won the Europa League AGAIN, as a failure and too low in stature.  Not a fxxking chance.

We had just won the FA Cup, so yep, people turned their noses up.

Why would he want to sign another deal here??

There really isn't any reason for him to sign another contract with Leicester. Marti obviously doesn't fancy him so why stay ..

He is contracted till the end of next season so not really got a choice has he ?

Fair dues to Cifuentes. He must have been just as brassed off with that performance as the rest of us to the extent he gathered up the players, no slinking away up the tunnel.

"After such an inept performance you can go around the stadium and can see and hear what the supporters think of that performance. And if you get booed and abuse it's no more than you deserve so shift your backsides and face those who have spent hard earned cash to put up with the crap you are presenting them with". (Or words similar!!!)

Hopefully not far off Mr Still. Nice guy but that doesn't make a good manager.

Though let's not sack another manager under Rudkin

I think there is two sides with Marti we have seen Mr nice guy now lets see what happens when the pressure is on.

Whilst we are at it we should be looking at the coaches who are supposedly dictating skills and tactics. Not forgetting our scouts who have recommended the dross who have been draining money out of the club and putting little in.

Meanwhile I look at clubs much smaller than ours like Bournemouth who play attractive football, sell players and unearth more gems to fill their places. And all on smaller attendance figures than ours.

This lot need putting in a bag and shaking up!! I get the impression past managers have been too gentle.  I doubt Pearson would accept their performances.

Angry Marti drops Luke Thomas. Nice Marti brings Luke Thomas on when trying to chase a game.

Has there been any murmurings that Marti is on borrowed time?

I’m not in the know at all. But a couple of former players I have heard from, they have not mentioned anything. Although I’m not sure if they are very close to the goings on.

We could have prime Alex Ferguson but when Luke Thomas gets out muscled and Faes drops a clanger with Soumare strolling back from halfway line and his only options are to replace them with Victor Kristiansen who also gets out muscled, Skipp who can't control the game with the Daka attack up top it really doesn't make the slightest bit of difference does it.

Dyche didn't want to come here though

He didn’t even get asked have you not seen his interview. Had no contact with Leicester about the job.

To be fair I got shot down for saying we should have moved heaven and earth for Moyes after cooper (and before) - lots of our fan base aren't actually THAT knowledgeable.

Dyche or Moyes I’d snap your hand off for.

Yeah it does actually.

You take all those players and tell them to stop doing those things. If they dont, you drop them.

If you see good qualities in those players but you see deficincies in them, e.g. strength, concentration or lack of finishing as you have pointed out there, you work on their deficiencies and if you cant make them better, even if its by a few percent, then you get rid of them.

Then you pick tactics that work with the strengths the players DO have, and dont pick tactics that make them look worse or expose their deficiencies.

if youve got players who are either only physically capable of strolling back from the half way line to defend a transition, or cant be arsed to run back to defend a transition, you either a) drop said player for someone who CAN run back if trying to win it high up, or b) play a system where player who cant run is not put into a position where he has to run miles backwards.

Kristiansen came off injured so not sure what else he could have done. It wasn't exactly a tactical change.

If you look at the points, we are basically in the same position as them, we don’t have many more points than them. However , because  we have done it in sequences it makes it look like form and bad form. Like we were good and we are goijg through r Pugh patch. Marti will last much much longer than still. Obviously Marti is not brilliant but defo not the root cause. In reality we have been just as bad as Southampton.
