Once the transfer window closed I honestly think the manager was told certain players have to be included in the match day squad due to wages and to keep them in the shop window ……hence his quote yesterday about wanting a smaller squad and it blocking the pathway for younger players. I really feel for him think he is being thrown under a bus.

Not sure he'll be told to play certain players. Just think if he plays the youth and doesn't get results he'll then be grilled on why he's not using the senior players when they're available.

If we ship out the seniors that are crap he won't have that hanging over him.

But it doesn't look like we'll be able to do that any time soon so he's going to have to take that chance at some point.

Dyche a stupid appointment give over. We wouldn’t be in this position with him, not a chance.

we would. I've already explained why, he couldn't do anything with this squad and we don't have the money to rebuild the squad to suit his style of play.

Worked well with getting rid of them before, I'd argue in a World Cup year it'd be more beneficial to freeze someone like Faes out and try to get his agent really trying to force a move

I agree in terms of forcing the players hand but at the same point it is going to severely damage and reduce any leverage in securing a fee that the club deems acceptable. More likely to receive really low ball offers.

I'd agree if we seemed to be getting any decent bids for some of them lol

Seriously, moaning about the players and/or manager is utterly utterly pointless.

It’s the proverbial re-arranging deckchairs in the Titanic.

Owner needs to sell to someone who gives a toss and we need rid of incompetent DOF.

Need to remove the core rot.

Does Rudkin ever sit and wonder why none of the likes of Burnley, Leeds or Wolves saw the likes of Faes, Skipp, Winks, DeCordova-Reid, Soumare, Daka, Kristianson or Vestergaard as viable options to help keep them in the Premier League, going against his opinion when he recruited them that they were good enough for that? Wages and “no better than what we have” would be the answers and the level of transfer fee we may be asking / need to ask.

Justin was identified by Leeds as squad cover, one registration who can play in multiple positions and our promising keeper went to West Ham.
We’re stuck with the others on bloated salaries with little sign of that changing in January, maybe Faes will find a loan with it being a World Cup year (can’t cope with Championship opponents but eyes are fixed on World Cup standards!)

The question in response to Marti’s comments is “why do we have so many” and that should be being discussed daily in the boardroom with the person responsible for recruiting them in the first place.

But you don’t HAVE TO. use them Marti.
Hard to manage those numbers, hard to run training sessions, possibly, hard to keep everyone happy - well that’s deserved the moment they stopped chasing, straining to block crosses or get their bodies in the way.

The alternative to that is ignore that direction.... potentially win a few games, then when he gets sacked for not following orders we will all know exactly what is going on and he gets a nice pay off!

Feel for him? For being a yes man? For not sticking to his principles?

He will get sacked either way, so either he goes out with a shred of dignity or he carries on favouring the high wage players to his own detriment.

So he can’t adapt, change the team, or improve us. Ok mate

Dyche can't adapt for shit, no. That's been his downfall everywhere. He's Burnleys Pearson, everywhere else he's been limp af

100% that's my take too. The last 3 Manager's have been royally thrown under the bus. And the thing they all had in common is that they were out of work and desperate for the job so agreed to whatever the club wanted. The leadership at the club must be the worst in the country.

not with the squad we have. Taking a risk and trying to not hire known crap like Dyche wasn't a mistake

This squad is really bad to be honest. If he integrates Aluko, Nelson and Monga into the squad (and later hopefully Page and Evans) and gets rid of a few more of the high earners in January I will be happy even if we dont go up.

The priority has to be on fixing this squad long term and reducing the wage bill.

That's all he can do, but I don't see anyone buying Daka, Soumare or Winks in January when they're leaving on a free in the summer.

Maybe we can hope Faes and VK are sold in January, that would be a start.

Sitting on a 1-0 lead, at home, against a side who have been really, really poor...when we're short on confidence. Sorry, get this bloke gone. He hasn't got a clue.

Please pull the trigger.

We look every bit as bad as we did under Cooper.
