Bring it on. No surprise Bertrand had a problem with a manager having discipline, more than happy to sit on the bench collecting a wage rather than actually fall in line and do what the manager asks, and what a refreshing change it would be to see a manager come in and get rid of all of the 30+ players.

Yeah everything he said made me think he'd actually be good here.

Tony Adams would be a good shout on a short term deal.

Put Merson in charge  of team outings whilst you’re at it..

Our lot couldn't pull this off.

He's an interesting one, has a clear identity but he never stays at a club long enough to see it through, clearly a very good manager in there, but we need a full rebuild and i'd be worried if he was stupid enough to come here, we would end up being left "half built" and then need to try to find someone to replace him who can utilise the players left over.

I'd question the motivation of anyone who took this job at the minute. Completely disjointed and unbalanced squad, players who don't want to be here, no funds to recruit, disgruntled fanbase, looming points deduction, relegation battle. The only people who take it are either desperate for a job or looking for a pay day

Sod a medal whoever takes this job deserves a 250kg bar of gold

Refuse to watch another of these after Marti ball being the polar opposite to what he suggested it was going to be in his episode.

My only concern is the immediate future, the players we have are spineless. If he comes in day 1 and starts hammering them and acting "like an authoritarian" how many of these overpaid prima donnas would down tools even further and relegate us? or could he galvanise them?

If we get rid of all the established pros we could just let the academy management do it.

Think VP is a stinker personally. A horrid track of clubs, never settled anywhere and has a bad temperament. In what world is that a recipe for success here?

Viktor P. would probably not want to inherit the present situation and would definitely be a gamble appointment which could go either way - a bit like he did at Woves re last season's fantastic turn around compared to his time there earlier this season, albeit which was exposed by the lost of his star players from last season....and the team that's left, although they are playing better under Edwards, are only top half Championship quality. Definitely a gamble!

Every managerial option is a gamble, I wouldn't worry about it tbh. All I know is Vitor has a higher managerial ceiling than Gary Rowett/Chris Coleman etc.

Do you know what? I think now is the time for Martin Mad-Dog Allen.

Imagine what he could do with the gardening at Seagrave.

Right man, wrong time, before.

Yeah but the higher the ceiling, the more difficult it is to hit it.

Also did no one ever mock up a Marty / Marti thing? Back to the future?

Considering I reckon we will still be posting on this topic in June I wonder how many pages we can get it too 🤔🤔

Leicester City are reportedly eyeing a move to appoint former Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, according to journalist Liam Keen.

Leicester are in the market for a new manager after Marti Cifuentes was relieved of his duties. The Foxes are struggling in the bottom half of the Championship table, despite the expectation that they would be battling towards the promotion places following their relegation from the Premier League.

Leicester currently find themselves sitting in 14th position, winning just once in their previous five league games. Their defeat last time out was the final straw for Cifuentes, losing 2-1 at home to Oxford United, who are currently second bottom in the Championship even after their victory.

Pereira was relieved of his duties as Wolves manager earlier in the campaign, with the Midlands club failing to win a game under his tutelage this season. The 57-year-old signed a new deal at Wolves in September, despite their struggles, but he was sacked less than two months later, with Wolves sitting on two points at the time.

During the 2024/2025 campaign, Pereira deserved plenty of credit for turning things around. He took over in December with the Midlands club in 19th place, before comfortably ending the campaign 17 points above Leicester in the final place of the relegation zone.

Chris Coleman, the former Wales and Fulham boss, is under consideration for the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City, sources have told Football Insider.

Coleman is well-known to the Leicester ownership, having worked for their sister club OH Leuven in Belgium before his dismissal in June 2025.

The 55-year-old helped steer Leuven steer clear of relegation in his first season in charge, having taken over when the club were third-bottom of the Belgian Pro League.

Leicester are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Marti Cifuentes over the weekend, with first-team coach Andy King placed in interim charge.

The Foxes have high hopes for coach King and see him as a future manager, and feel Coleman could be the perfect mentor due to their long-standing association together with Wales.

Coleman is free and available having left Greek side Asteras Tripolis earlier this month, and would be interested in working alongside King to help the former Wales midfielder in his fledgling coaching career.

Things change but ultimately stay the same. This is from April 2007:

We are after an experienced manager (Will Still and Ryan Mason won't enter the equation).

Their agents wouldn't be doing their job correctly if they weren't....

What we are after and what we end up with are two different things - remember we have the chuckle brothers running the recruitment process!

Vitor Pereira is utter dog shit, he's only lasted longer than 18 months in about 2 of the 9000 jobs he's had. No doubt Top and Rudkin would offer him the obligatory 3 year deal and we'd have yet another manager who's contract we're paying off when it all goes wrong

If the club want to make the appointment permanent on a 2+ year deal, and also need the manager to be out of work for cost reasons, Hassenhuttl is a realistic priority for me. The only concern I would have with RH, is he is a strong leader, and i'm concerned that some of these spineless players will react badly and happily throw the club under the bus.

With that said, I do think we have a fair few players that would still be willing to work hard and generally speaking have a good, professional attitude, I think we just have more "Bad eggs" than most clubs.

But alas, Hassenhuttl doesn't conform to the pep-ball style that the clown upstairs continues to want to force upon us all.
