I've long wanted to see a series done of what's become of the likes of Martin Jol, David O'Leary, Billy Davies etc. I'd go for a manager not seen hide nor hare of in decades.

Jean Tigana

Chris Hutchings...

Top hasn't got the balls to sack Rudkin

The reason for that.......is because rudkin has top's balls cupped nice and tight

Pretty sure at one point Mandaric wanted Tigana.

Martin Jol! Incredibly underrated manager imo. Wanted us to go in for him a couple of times in the past.

Alan Curbishley is itching to get back into management apparently

I’m pretty sure we were strongly linked to Tigana in the past. Not sure when but I’m 99.9% sure.

Kevin Keegan. Wing backs. 1 defender. All out attack.

I know this ship has probably sailed ages a go but Knutsen looks like he's an absolute gem. Bet he's on peanuts compared to what we've been handing out to managers too.

Turned over Athletico Madrid tonight too.

Dear Nigel

We hear you nearly died back there? Glad you're on the mend. Would you like to come and manage us again? Things have gone a bit pear shaped around here, but once the inevitable points deduction and relegation have been cleared up, you'll have a solid bunch of experienced players to work with. They're crippling the club financially and don't want to be here, but things will sort themselves out.

Let me know. Oh and you'll be reporting to John Rudkin.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Regards

How can he say no

Welcome Jesse Marsch 👀

A question Top should have been asked in the midst of lauding praise upon JR. We were trying to secure Marsch on a 3 year contract in April 2023 which would have rendered any back slapping about Maresca irrelevant. What DoF worth his salt has been part of a managerial chain in the last 3 years of trying to get Marsch, getting Dean Smith. A brief bright spark of Enzo, followed by Cooper/RvN/Cifuentes all in a year. Appalling.

I'm going to cut them some slack for RvN as that looked an exciting appointment at the time. Could easily have gone differently and in hindsight how much did the players cause that season rather than the managers?

Yeah I was bullish about RvN but the point is he flopped massively and it's just a catalogue of errors yet somehow has escaped scrutiny.

Only the manager and players seemingly under the microscope on the football operations, which is so naive.

I really wish it could be Pearson feel like it would just give the whole fanbase a lift but its very unlikely and wouldn't want him to spoil his legacy here but I can dream

He couldn't ruin his legacy because if he came and kicked off and left because he wasn't allowed to pull the strings he'd still be a legend as we all know we're so rotten to the core that it isn't going to be him.

Honestly I don’t think there is enough time in a week to put all the questions Rudkin and Aiyawatt should have been asked on the table to them. There’s just so many bad decisions. I found most of the questions too soft but Tanner referenced that they didn’t want to “scare him off” …
