Its win:win for any manager.

Do you correct the downfall of a club with a brilliant infrastructure or you're paid handsomely to be sacked

Managers tend not to get compo these days if sacked within a certain time scale (Usually six months) So that will be one attraction taken away

It’s protest at the training ground territory it really is! How do the ownership see how bad the relationship with the fans is and decide to pick the least popular manager appointment possible.

I don’t think I have it in me to watch ten minutes of Martin ball.

Surely the camel's back has already been broken in this regard???? Why is this appointment the thing to tip you over the edge???

Gary Rowett is an horrendous choice to be considered. I know beggars can’t be choosers but he failed everywhere he’s been and although he’s an ex player he’s not exactly a club legend. Plus ex Derby manager just to make him even less desirable.

No he hasn't

the ironic thing is we scorned at the opportunity to sign Danny Rohl because it was “ too much money”…

And Coberan and then went on to spent 8m on Ayew lol this club defies logic

People suggesting the likes of Parker and Dyche if they get the sack are seriously underestimating what those willy pullers have actually done to us. They wouldn't touch this with a bargepole.

Read that first time as something Parker or Dyche had done to us, but you mean our in house willy pullers I guess lol

Let them.

Thing is, you just know, if Rowett goes to Blackburn, he'll turn them round, and they'll beat us to stay up and we'll drop!

I say, let's just get him in

I havent been to a game since they appointed Steve Cooper. My dad still attends so have bought him vouchers since though. Quite happy to stop that if the club puts itself into an even bigger hole by appointing even more lazy shite like that

Rowett will keep Blackburn up if he goes there. They’ve got enough fight in them. Then it’s down to whichever of either us or WBA is shittest, like back in 90/91 when we had Gordon Lee in temporary charge before recruiting Brian Little that summer.

What was his success

He's done fairly well at keeping teams in the league that appeared to be in trouble. He also did pretty well at Millwall taking a side that had finished 21st the year before him, he then never finished outside the top half and had them very close to the playoffs twice.

I don't want him on a long term deal but as an interim I think he'd be fine, I'd rather that then them rush a long term appointment and someone better becomes available in the summer.

Same boat mate.

The bloke is a uranium enriched weapons grade bell3nd.  And that's me being restrained in my comments.

Rodgers is the benchmark gold standard c u  next Tuesday  but Martin is running in second, I seriously can't abide this fraud..

His brand of "football management "  ( I use this term in its loosest form possible) is horrendous.  A possession based bore fest, from a clown who dribbles postmatch BS out of the hole under his nose  purely so he can hear the sound of his own voice.

He's not what we need and NEVER will be..

OK rant over

Let's be honest though contextually the only stinker on there is Stoke

Don't get me wrong, pretty sure he would be OK. We deserve no better as a club, but his record is quite meh, and maybe that is enough for now.
