Glad to see a flood of youngsters on the bench . . . . .

do or die today

win or he gets sacked surely?

What youngsters could he have played. Only Aluko is really but not a lot of the better ones available right now.

Begovic' expression is all of us reading that line up.

The face of a man that’s seen untold horrors in training.

He needs to stop trying to play football. He needs to go back to basics again and look to place more emphasis on transitional football.

He needs to think about putting in grafters….. Skipp to some extent falls into that category, but he lacks grit, he works hard and covers the grass but that’s about it. I’ve said it before as undesirable as it sounds, sticking Hamza in midfield to be a destroyer, be aggressive and give us a bit of something nasty is probably what we need at the moment.

Unfortunately we simply can’t play how Marti wants us to, regardless of how poor we are at the moment, there’s enough experience and ability to play in a different way…..

The real example was on Tuesday. Boro just spent the last 10-15 minutes smashing balls into the channels and getting balls into the penalty area, and lo and behold, we crumbled and conceded.

We try to carry on plodding along, slowly ambling around the pitch and failing to keep control of the ball, and failing to even counter when it’s on.

That is a tactical thing, not so much a personnel thing.

I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with any of that. The football we play, currently, is abject. Marti gets an out card by virtue of us not having a forward worthy of starting.  But what he is getting back - either due to his strategy or the personnel - is frankly abysmal. Personally, I’m “Marti out” as I don’t think he has it in him to turn this around. If today is a genuine 3-5-2, then I think this is the last roll of his dice. 😞

This works if he was playing them before doesn't it, but he wasn't so.

He did play page. And I am pretty sure if page was available he would be in the team. Personally think Aluko must be close. It’s a process with the youth.

Think he should have persevered with carranza.

On a side note. The midlands club league looks grim with us at the bottom with West brom

He’s woeful, rather play Daka

He could be putting plenty at least on the bench Aluko is the obvious one but also Jake Evans

Lorenz Hutchinson

Louis Page

Silko Thomas

Armani Richards

Darren Motsi

and plenty of others deserve at least a sniff of the first team squad instead of these overpaid has beens not winning game after game after game

As it stands, I’m not sure there is a better starting eleven available to this manager right now, or to anyone that might replace him. It is what it is. But Marti has to get some sort of performance from the dross available to him.

I was thinking the same

Anyone who saw pre season could see Evans wasn’t ready. Doesn’t mean he might not be very soon but you have to get this right. Evans far more use to us getting it right and playing at World Cup helps him.

Presume you’ve seen Silko play before.

You’ve listed 2 15 year olds who have only just started playing for the u21s. You are clearly off your rocker.

I’ve stopped caring at this point if we lose or not

I think many have to be honest. Not worth getting pissed off and ruining your weekend with this bunch of wasters.

If you had Monga or Mavidi starting instead of Ayew at least you’d have pace centrally and wide.
Instead of which we have Ayew slowing our attacks down.
Absolutely clueless.
I’d like to see Mavidi off Daka and Monga and Fatuwo out wide.

Yeah it would be good to see. I completely get the idea of having a strong bench so as long as we do see Mavs and Monga come into against tired legs but with plenty of time left in the game say at 55-60mins then I can be on board. If its James or Fatawu off though or something else conservative then I'm absolutely out and monga and Mavs should be starting from the off.
