Why, He played his best game for us in as an 8 today. Also we'd loose Ayew's defensive work.

James done well in the 8 also but was even better when he dropped deeper and ghosted in for the goal.

Ayew can't mark a player on a throw in , his defensive work is non existent , he's in the same category as Faes never want to see him in a Leicester shirt again

We did that against Pompey or was it Wrexham and it didn't work , impact sub for now for BDR

So who would you play at number 10 given that Ramsey is injured and the only other natural player we have in that position is BDCR?

James , Page, Briggs , recall Alves at Christmas

James is clearly not a number 10 and playing him there is waste given how effective he is playing deeper. Page has promise but is very young and looked a bit lost when he played there earlier in the season. Briggs hasn’t played a minute of first team football. Alves has been loaned to a League One club for a reason, is injury prone and usually plays as a winger anyway.

Are you really sure that any of the above are better replacements for Ramsey than BDCR?

Totally agree, none of the are ready to start for Leicester, and unfortunately Alves is injury prone after the horror challenge.

Great win, shocking performance.

Loved that the fans are uniting against King Power now. Aiyawatt and Rudkin have to go.

Agree, but we had 3 very good chances for this to be a comfortable win.

Daka missed an easier header than JJs goal.

Fatawu and JJ both shot when Daka was open in the penalty area for a easy finish.

im not saying we were great, but we had 65% possession with 14 shots and 7 on target compared to their 8 and 3 on target.

we also missed two 1on1s - JJ and Fatawu.

as uninspiring  as we were at times, we were  the better team. Not often we get to say that!

I didn’t watch any of the game, but did look at the stats post match. Reads like we should’ve won very comfortably.

I think regards to these though, we should be trying to create these situations from the start but we invariably only do so once we're chasing a game.  We have a rather cowardly way of playing.  It's keepball with little intent.

We've won 5 games, 2 of which were against the two teams at the bottom of the table. We shouldn't just be looking at one result, but the whole season so far: it’s been a massive disappointment. Too many draws, too few clean sheets, too few wins. I think the lack of clear and obvious replacement candidates makes his job more secure right now after a win, regardless of who it was against. We were still very poor in large spells against Norwich, had they been a better side they would have beaten us. The big take away is that the Marti experiment isn't working. Winning today didn't feel like it was a byproduct of an intentional tactical decision by Marti but dumb luck. We should be bossing a team like Norwich, creating chance after chance. We looked toothless as we have all season for most of the game.

I don’t think Marty has shown he has a clue in any game.

Turgid tactics and poor team selections.  He starts to get a selection right then shoe horns players in the next game and ruins the flow.

Ayew blocks our attacks and does nothing in defence.  He’s not a team player or good enough to be a lone wolf.  Skipp is useless, it’s either a back pass to JV or Winks or when he tries actually makes a tackle it’s more of a panic as he fumbles and megs himself. He’s not a footballer.  JV too slow and ruins any momentum and quick opportunity to break. His Enzo ball suicide pass causes problems in the middle.

The goal came from releasing the ball to a winger higher up the pitch, Fatawu running into space not receiving it with his back to goal, crossing quickly and JJ arriving in the box.  Simple passage of play, yet we don’t see it all game until we are desperate. It’s clearly not a Marti tactic because it barely happens.

This simple tactic should be rinsed constantly on both sides. Drill this into the wingers and full backs to run, cross and shoot at pace rather than stand still and see who can do the most step overs.

This is bread and butter for Ricardo and Thomas can do it but Marti ball has made them all so boring.

Because that’d solve everything

The ownership won’t change while we stay and stagnate in the championship our best hope of getting rid of these charlatans I.e Aiyawatt and Rudkin is if the club get promoted..

Good to see they finally figured out Fatawu can also run on to a forward ball rather than only take it to feet with his back to goal. Hope to see more of that next game, lofted balls for JJ to get on the end of.

Absolutely nothing game between 2 really poor sides.

Don't think I've ever been less bothered by picking up 3 points. Never want to see us lose, but that win just papers over the cracks and means nothing changes. We now have an international break in which Marti is stuck doing the same boring things, with the same useless players.

I'm not fully Marti put because he's been dealt some shite cards, like not having a striker with any clue where the goal is. But it's time to change something be that chucking a few more youngsters in.

Because yesterday's game was just turgid.

Darren Kenton, Iwan Roberts, Rob Ullathorne, James Maddison, Darren Eadie, your boys took one hell of a beating (by your own boys).

Darren Kenton is, arguably, the dullest man to listen to of all time.

We aren’t making playoffs under Marti I would personally get rid of him and get a better manager he’s dogshite.

Keep Marty and hope we don't make the playoffs. Do you honestly fancy the prem again without offloading our shiz and straightening out our attitude?

"Page looked lost" earlier in the season...  Of course he did - it was his first game in the side, and in a dysfunctional team. He will surely improve game on game.

""Briggs hasn't played a minute of first tea football". This is a catch-22 statement which applies to every academy player; it will always be the case until they are  actually given a go.

etc

It's not asking for 50% of the team to be untried youngsters playing the full 90,  but of introducing them gradually, giving them the opportunity to adapt and grow over a season.

If we aren't prepared to do that there's no point in having an academy at all.

I would rather play some of the youngsters to get them learning the hard way and maybe embarrass some of the so called seniors.

The seniors professionals aren’t doing the job, unable to do the basics and step up. They have zero good grace left.

My concern with playing youngsters is having them around a dullard like Marti. He started to turn Monga into a hybrid of Mavadidi & Ayew and lost his raw energy and confidence of youth. These lads deserve a better manager and smarter players around them.
