Can’t believe we won, this is the worst team I’ve seen we play at one pace it’s so slow and boring. I don’t think the gaffer is getting the best out of them either.

The clue is in the number. an 8 plays in the hole or behind the Striker on the right which used to be called an inside right.  But systems have changed.

 

A 10 similar on the left.But a lot depends on the sytem being used.  Where they play depends on where the ball is as players are expected to do more these days.

Happy to lose ayew. Hopefully down the back of the sofa at sea grave so we don't have to watch all attacking momentum end with him every game .

A senior FA staff Coach taught me good players don't need numbers. They'll find a way to effect the game within the team structure.
