I just think he going to get minutes here.

The squad is paper thin, big chance for him to push on development wise.

The Ramsey injury will have made the club reassess whether to bring Braybooke back for sure.

As much as I would like Page to play regularly in Ramsey's absence the club will probably prefer to have Braybrooke who has been playing and performing regularly and can play any of the 6, 8, 10 positions. It makes too much sense for him to be with us for the remainder of the season.

Braybrooke is probably going to be needs at 6 or 8, Skipp and James can't play every minute of every game.

Page is going gonna be needed at 10.

No reason he couldnt have been on the bench for a league one side today if he was going on loan there, aside from ineptness which with this club is always a possibility.

Im predicting he will be with the squad today.

His loan with Newport only ended yesterday, I doubt he could have been registered in time

Presuming if he plays for us (say vs Cheltenham in the cup) then he wouldn’t be able to go out on loan again to a third club?

So, give him a month here with a few sub appearances and a cup start and, if we decide it best, send him back to Newport at the end of the month?

In the kindest possible sense, braybrooke is a much stronger option than page at this point in their development, albeit different types of player. If page is getting minutes then  braybrooke absolutely can and would

A number of players have already gone back out on loan after terminating/finishing a loan elsewhere.

Braybrooke has been playing well for a while, if the plan was to send him to league one we would have had that in the works well before the 31st.

he's cup tied so can't play in the FA cup for us

As he’s 21 or under isn’t it fine too.

if he's still classed as that then he doesn't need to be registered not sure if he aged out this season or not though?

Still classed as under 21 for this season

Bit underwhelming tbh. Stayed at Newport he’d have played exactly the same teams, been guaranteed to start every game and had the potential to leave there a hero if they stayed up. Chesterfield does have a crooked spire mind 🤩

That makes less sense than us giving him minutes, even just coming off the bench, loaning him to a L1 side or leaving him at Newport.
