Don’t really feel old, in that I use the latest tech and listen to new music etc. but my knees don’t work and if I drink more than two beers I wake up at 4am with random alcohol induced anxiety, so maybe I do feel old actually.

I'm 36 and feel better than 5 years ago. Covid break was a wake up call. I'm 2.5 stone lighter, stronger, fitter and achieving sub 25 min 5k runs.

My last parkrun I beat lads a good 10-12 years younger than me and turning 40, 50 and 60 doesn't scare me.

Yea, but you wait until you do turn 40!

Here's one for the COVID mob.

November 2019, saw a photo on my pics feed and could easily blag late 30s. And,  as such always claimed to be so on dating apps - and dates never questioned it! (Tho would have to check myself on those good ol' dating   chit chat cultural references; Falklands.War, space shuttle crashes or Charles and Di getting married)

Fast forward to a pic from April 2021 and a much older, haunted post covid jab face is looking into a selfie. I still feel fine,  but look every day the real 52 I am.

Covid took a lot out of people, stress, complete upheaval to daily life and all the other things. I don't think you can attribute it solely to a jab

True. But I was one of those who loved working from home and sitting in the garden and watching football every day of the week and having nights in with no FOMO. It was bliss.

I blame the jabs!

No idea what 52 is supposed to feel like, so its hard to say, but would guess yes most of the time. Still incredibly childish at times, and no plan to change.

I've lost strength and some mobility due to issues with my lumbar spine after years of lifting fat old (and young) people down their stairs and into and out of the ambulances before the days of ramps and lifting equipment that is around now.

It takes me about 48hrs to get full mobility back after being in goal at 5 a side for an hour. I don't dive around anymore  but the physical activity takes it's toll.

In my head I'm still the goalkeeper I was back in my 20's. Now, if I drop to the floor to make a save, it takes a a while to get back up and I sometimes have to use the frame of the goal as a support. lol

At 70!  I don’t care how you get back to your feet,  I’d still have you in goal over Danny Ward.

Have you forgotten already? Few years back is it?

I'm 31 and genuinely don't feel any different to when I was 21. I do a lot of travelling and meet a lot of people in their mid 20s which probably helps. Not many of my mates have settled down and have kids either so imagine that does too.

My twenties were amazing so I just think I want to hold on to it for as long as possible!

I was the same at 31. Then suddenly at 37 it was like a switch flicked and I and suddenly decided I needed to settle down and have a kid. So I developed a wacky theory that the age of your mum when you're conceived is when you suddenly get the urge to start your own family, which I'm sticking to despite loads of anecdotal evidence to the contrary.

I don't get the "landmark" ages like 40, then 60 then retirement, then every decade thereafter someone feels you should "celebrate" being whatever x0 age you get to be.
