JimJams Posted 12 January Posted 12 January There's a lot of bedwetting about a lack of activity, but look at the rest of the Championship. There's fxxk all going on for most. Only Cov got a few proper signings in and they're loans. Championship - Transfers 25/26 | Transfermarkt

Championship - Transfers 25/26 | Transfermarkt January is usually a tough market with over inflated prices as clubs don't usually want to lose their better players half way through the season. I do get the impression though, that other Championship clubs could make signings if they really needed to. I am firmly of the opinion that we are absolutely brassic and even though the need to buy players is high, there's just no money to do it. Even to the point that if two or three did get sold, I suspect that money might get used elsewhere before it's reinvested in players.
Dan Posted 12 January Posted 12 January It was never in any doubt with their track record but 12 days into this month and we already know it's just more of the same. Our situation is crap, but with some competent people on board you could still make a better fist of things. Nobody has been moved on despite being frozen out for months. No loans have been agreed despite the ability to bring in another three, possibly four if you had Ramsey gone. It isn't tricky to do. It's just tricky to do when you have idiots involved all over the place who haven't got a clue what they're doing. Which we have. Therefore it becomes tricky for us. Nothing will ever change under this owner. We know the truth. It was obvious after 2022/23 and the most egregious underperformance leading to a relegation ever where people actually continued on as normal that we were heading for nothing other than doom. - Massively incompetent - Zero introspection - Zero ambition To have just one of those is a problem but at least you can fix it. You cannot fix all three under the same regime. Every single effort should be made to forcing them out - no matter what. 4

MPH Posted 12 January Posted 12 January im kind of half hoping we’d be linked with a Brazilian wonder kid for £25m just like the olden days..

But trying to call them out at the time you were met with the "don't be ungrateful" type responses and now look at the state of us. Edited 12 January by Sol thewall Bamba 1
SB87_LCFC Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Owynn Palmer-Atkin posted Cifuentes has said in an interview at least 3 senior players have asked to leave the club this window, assuming that's Winks Faes Vestergaard It's ok them wanting to leave, but they have to lower their expectations on what they're going to get paid. The fact Faes is going to Monaco and we are paying some of his wages is laughable. Also read that both Manchester clubs and allegedly Real are looking at Lorenz Hutchinson and want to try and get him before he's 18. 1

brookfox Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Seems pretty clear we need players out before any come in. Sort of like an inverted okey cokey; you ship some players out, some more come in, out, in, out, in, Marti is the king!

Rubbersoul Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Can see Winks, Faes & Soumare going. Daka going would be nice too but that would leave us with 0 strikers which is probably actually an upgrade

Hopefully this puts pressure on us to fast track him, disgrace we haven't yet. 3

We can't afford to keep making the same panic signing mistakes.
Stadt Posted 13 January Posted 13 January We need a striker on loan. PSV signed Myron Boadu on a year long deal and he's only played 55 league minutes, chance our arm. Had a great stint at Bochum last year.
Finnegan Posted 13 January Posted 13 January Holy shit, Myron Boadu still exists. That's a flash from the FM past. Probably do OK in the Championship to be fair but why only a 1 year contract? Fitness concerns? He someone else that'd take six months to actually be ready to play? Completely irrelevant, anyway, we've probably never heard of him and with Carranza flopping, Rudkin probably won't be ready to take another "risk" for a few years. It'll be EFL experience or nothing, thank you very much.

Totally agree, his goalscoring record this season surely should be enough, hes older than Monga and Evans so for me he has to come into the equation now.
