Worrying? There was a boycott, it was -5, it was the first monday back to work and school, and the football is so dire at the moment that norovirus is a far more welcome alternative.

The attendance is pretty much what everyone thought it was going to be. In the ground you could hear people having chats many rows back.

The attendance on Monday is the least of my worries. I'm more concerned about seeing some positive change and getting things sorted.

Spoke to a chap who works at King Power. He said that although 27,000 tickets were sold (vast majority season tickets), the actual attendance on Monday was actually around 12,000. Worrying.

About right.

Worrying? This is a GOOD thing. Lets get those numbers even lower, cmon lads.

I want to see Covid lockdown levels of attendance, this is the way to force change at the club.

I agree it’s worrying. Very worrying the dishonesty the club will show in communication of such false figures…

They may as well just say ticket sales for the game were ……

If this continues though, how many jack in season tickets.

Bizarrely, I think more people renew if we get relegated as they’ll want to see us win the league, rather than seeing us just scrape safety.

Anyone with working eyes could see the attendance wasn’t 27,000. Sold tickets? Yes. Attendance? - no. But of course, we have to get the subterfuge in for the smooth of brain :frusty:

I don't know were people keep getting this 12000 figure from, there was clearly far more than that attending. You only had too use your own eyes to see that, obviously wasn't  27,000 the club said either. I would estimate somewhere roughly in the middle 18 to 19000.

Don't forget Corriedale was on the box

I saw that being used as a justification by people on FB pages as to playing down the boycott…along with the weather and back to work/school excuses.

Literally, go with the boycott. Far less embarrassing for the fan base than it being Corriedale lol

What's most odd is even if you allow for 27k

23k of those counted being season ricket holders

Assume 3k away end.

That's 1000 people daft enough to part with best part of 40 quid to watch the dross on show.

The bloke a I spoke to ( and trust me, he should know) said it was definitely around 12,000.

Exactly.... does the club seriously expect fans to keep rocking up regardless of the crap being served up on the pitch....  the true cause of it all is the mismanagement of the club .... its a fact they need to wake up to ... or face more and more empty seats

No way, anyone with their own eyes & half a brain cell , could tell it was more than 12,000.

It looked around a third full to me. Piper said he'd been told it was 12,500.
