What if it was Daka, Soumare and Thomas? I'm not saying he shouldn't get the sack but I'm not entirely sure what people expect with this squad of players.

change the system instead like I said

But you couldn't even name 11 players in that starting lineup, yet complain about Choudhury starting.

It's Ayew or Daka up front, either will be complained about. Last time he switched it up, Silko played and now he gets pelters. Evans isn't the answer, he's 17 coming into a team with no leadership, he's going out on loan for a reason.

The only puzzler is Aluko not getting the nod, but the last time he started at left back, he struggled.

square peg in a round hole rather than shifting to a 3-4-3 and getting Aluko as a proper wing back instead though.

Like something along the lines of

Stolarcyk

Okoli

Vestegaard

Nelson

Ricardo

Page

a.n. other cm

Aluko

Fatawu

Mavididi

Monga

would be far better than whatever the hell this line up is

It's almost like you have watched our team and are choosing players where they will have more of an impact.  He sets us up to fail with the player selection even before the tactics are applied.

I'm actually jealous of him.  Being paid well for a job he isn't very good at, has zero accountability for the weekly performances and zero oversight from management.

Would love to see more positive body language from Mavididi…he always looks so defeated before he even starts.

Didn’t Wanya mainly play as an attacking midfielder for the u21s? Whenever he’s played for the 1st team he’s always been used out wide.

Not that it makes any difference whatsoever just wondering

At this point I would settle for him to pass the ball to a player ahead, cross first time or run into space to receive the ball.

because I genuinely could not care less whether he shoves Soumare in there hoping for the one run a month he goes on, or picks an academy player in there, picks another full back and sticks Ricky in there, or gets Sam Tierney from the women's side to put on a fake moustache. Just not Choudhury

Don’t worry, Ricardo will invert and help him, leaving a huge gap for their left winger to run into and score.

100% rinse and repeat

AYEW UP FRONT AGAIN!!!!!!!

I get it’s not ideal but what choice do we have , Daka is 💩

The choice up front seems to be

no pace but experience or

Pace but no ability to score

But you've got 3 wingers playing up front

The squad is utterly depleted and the decision is to promote Kevon Gray, a Centre Back, when we're playing our best player in that position out of position at left back to avoid the radical approach of, yknow, giving Aluko a chance. Meanwhile Marti has seemingly kicked any prospect of Evans ever getting game time ahead of our two clowns of senior FINOs (Forwards In Name Only) into the long grass.

But I guess we should be grateful he's 'giving the yoof a chance' since he's picked Page ahead of the human flat tyre that is Soumare. How lucky we are!

See you at full time, I'm off to Non League today and thank fook for the distraction lol

Neither are particularly likely to score but Daka makes the team a lot better than Ayew does. His pressing, his pace, his all round movement, he's got more footballing intelligence regardless of how little that might be worth.

He'll actually play his team mates in and play for them instead of just dribbling til he's fouled.

I'd have gone 352.

We've 3 CBs starting

Ricardo Hamza and Page in the middle.

A couple of wing backs

A 10

And a 9.

You flood your weakest area which today is CM.

Mavididi played through the centre a reasonable amount in France

I'm genuinely a bit surprised this year with all the striker problems we've got that we've never put Monga on the wing and Stephy up front.

How many years ago was that though, it's just shoehorning players in because we don't have a proper striker, he would be shocking up front anyway.

A significant change in structure like that needs coaching time to get it working correctly - especially with an already leaky defence.

There really isn’t the time to do that; and I’m not convinced we have the personnel at centre half to pull off a three; you don’t really want any of Okoli, Vestagaard or Nelson being dragged out wide and asked to defend against skillfull and pacey wingers.

Equally - I’m far from convinced that Mavididi has the skill set to play as the pivotal centre forward in that formation - and would be the perfect example of square peg in round hole you’re complaining about.
