Robbie Ure. 22 years old, 4 in 5 for Sirius this season after bagging 11 last year.

His team mate Isak Bjerkebo is also a really talented left winger.

Looking at L1 top scorers - Wareham for Exeter has 19 goals, in a crap team. Surely he could do a job for us given they are likely to be relegated? Should be a cheap option at this level.

4-4-2

GK - who commands the defence and knows when to stay on his line and when to come off it

2 CBS - who can head and tackle

RB, LB - who can defend and pass the ball 20 yards (to someone in the same-coloured shirt)

2 CMs - who are strong, can tackle, head, and pass the ball accurately

2 wide players - who can cross the ball

Front 2 - a big lad, who can head the ball and hold it up/flick it on, and a nippy finisher

Do we have (m)any of these at the club and, if not, is there any money to bring them in?

The big lad would be someone like Kieffer Moore, not a great player but would do a job.

How old is he?

Sam Gale from Gillingham would be a good addition in defence. Got loads of potential, pretty pacey, good off both feet. Would be fairly cheap if we're actually spending anything

Between Leyton Orient and Exeter for the last relegation place

I imagine whichever side goes down will take a bit of a hit on their asking price for Ballard or Wareham

Literally only now have I realised Ballard plays for Leyton Orient and not Lincoln lol Been telling everyone that'll listen that there's no way he'd leave the Championship to play for us.

wonder what a reasonable fee actually is?

Other than some English experience… We just need a bunch of cheap unknown kante and mahrez’s that would struggle in england if they came straight the way in the higher divisions (mahrez) but turn out to be elite after a couple of seasons.

now this is possible if we had Stevie Walsh and co back in charge of scouting but maybe not now.

That was a once in a lifetime kind of scouting. We won’t get good players for that sort of money again

Walsh is in the MLS now.  If it wasn't lightning in a bottle, then he wouldn't be too hard to get you wouldn't think.  But his Everton stint seems to have done the damage.  Despite apparently recommending some players to Everton that have gone on to be superstars they did spend a fortune on absolute shit while he was there.

In terms of attacking options, I'd be looking at the following:

Wareham (Exeter)

Tolaj (Plymouth)

Ballard (Orient)

Louie Barry (currently on loan to Stockport)

Keillor-Dunn (not playing much at Wrexham)

Get a bid in for Wareham

What is this ‘bid’ you speak of?!
