It appears they wanted 12 points deducted, not 20.

Said 20 on East Mids :dunno:

Could've been an autocue mistake I guess.

Does anybody know how long we have to appeal?

They might look and see how our form is, if by some miracle they beat Brum and Soton next week.  They might just take it on the chin.

10 days.

I'm presuming for the losses above the maximum. Don't see a points deduction being applied for submitting accounts late, no club has ever received one for this.

  • Breaching the EFL Championship Profit & Sustainability Rules for the 2023–24 season.

  • Failing to submit annual accounts by the required deadline (to the Premier League).

  • Failing to provide full, complete and prompt cooperation with the league’s financial inquiries.

3 charges total with 2 points attached to each charge basically. 6 points.

The third one was basically they had the chance to come out with all the bullshit they did in there defense in the hearing with the league and they didn't comply hence why they were charged and taken to an independent committee.

For everyone asking why Chelsea and Manchester City get away with things and we don't that's why.

So if they’d just submitted the accounts we’d have a 4 point deduction and be in a much better position, f ucking idiots the lot of them

Nobody has ever been docked points for that so I’d have thought we could appeal.

It's the failing to cooperate afterwards that's made it cast iron. We've failed to do it, the league have gone come on where are they, and we've still not helped. That's why we've been docked points. Our owners have basically got the false interpretation that we, and indeed they, are untouchable, the people that follow them are sitting on fat salaries knowing full well they aren't getting given a job in football ever again after this is over so want to drag it out as long as possible.

And this will be the problem we face as fans getting rid of them.

If we broke more financial rules then we would just have more Soumares, Dakas, Perezs, Praets, Faes's, Slimanis, Ghezzals etc stinking up the bench or out on loan then leaving for minimal fees.

It does matter how much we spend, the club is terrible at recruitment so the only difference would be having expensive crap players or cheaper crap players. We would never have become Champions league regulars.

Mad that people don't realise this yet, what is it going to take for it to sink in...

Maybe we can appeal the late accounts submission on the grounds it was sent from Rudkin's fax machine?

Rudkin doesn't have a fax machine yet. He uses smoke signals. He tried to send the accounts docs this way and burned them.

Whilst the first one may or may not be debatable, the latter two charges show what complete dunderheads we have at the club. How can you excuse not submitting your annual accounts on time if everyone else presumably manages to do it? Or am I missing something?

Some of you take the situation way too seriously. Imo the biggest mistake of the ownership was that they didn't try to break more financial rules and harder than they did.

A bigger violation of these stupid rules would have led to bigger success and probably to more Champions League seasons. We could have ended with 200 charges but who cares. Man City will be punished around 2077 the Cyberpunk way. Who cares.

The club was way too passive since we won the PL. This is a fact. And don't get me started with arguments like "little Leicester". If you want to run a successful business you take risks, you fight the corruption with more corruption and if you want you relocate the business to the Metropolis of corruption (London) until Leicester Council builds an underground so the happy clappers don't have to leave the stadium in the 77min.

If we had made proper signings at the start 22/23 season and got rid of some of the deadwood, even at a loss, we would have stayed up. Who knows what that would have meant in terms of deductions, but the following season the bottom of the PL was awful, so a small deduction with an ok-ish team was manageable. Just feels to me we've been consumed by fear and buggered ourselves anyway.

2-3 yrs in a row of Champions League football are enough to avoid spending on crap quality. Ambition and corruption help to keep your star players. We failed big time in both.
