Even if they are useless

Leicester are showing the rest of the football pyramid that it’s pointless to try to cooperate.

The Premier League need to stand up for themselves and ensure Leicester receive the strictest possible punishment, otherwise every other club will follow the same approach we’ve taken.

Why would anyone cooperate with PSR/FFP again when we’ve fought the rules at every stage and still received such a lenient punishment?

These idiots never learn, do they?

Imagine Rowett turns us around just enough to put us clear, then we lose the appeal and the deduction is increased enough to take us down.

King Power f*****ng OUT!!!!!!!

I can see them knocking off 2 pts for our appeal and slapping us with a fine and a transfer embargo. We will stay up by more than 2 pts and get relegated next year because we need to make do with this team of wasters.

Because the set up is loaded and corrupt

It's not bitterness at all.

The Premier League have to protect their own rules.

Their rules (however flawed and biased) HAVE been protected!  We broke the rules, were charged, and were deducted a number of points set by an independent commission!  Them's the rules!

Yep just don't see the point in appealing, we have a stupid leadership group.  Fine if its to counter the FPL, but if it was an appeal for the pts/this punishment, should have just taken it.

The club, players and fans don't need this disruption now as the season and club spirals out of control.

This is pride rather than common sense, sometimes take the hit because its the right commercial decision.

Lets hope the appeal doesn't lead to 12pts!!!  Then we are down and on the way to going bust.

Or because we’re doing the logical thing in response to the PL’a appeal?

Or is it the other way round and the premier league have appealed as a response to hearing we were going to appeal

This will switch the narrative in the stands for some. They will continue to sing about the football league and premier league being out to get us.

For me, the only reason we're in this situation is because of the ineptitude of those at the Top of our club, literally. We should never have been put in this position by them.

However I'll still say 'F**k the Premier League' as it feels like it's just vindictive against us now.

If "this team of wasters" keep us up despite a points deduction and an inept manager for over half of the season, I would suggest they could at least keep us in the division next season with no points deduction and a competent manager experienced in this league!

You are assuming that none leave ofcourse.... but they will so it will be the dregs of the wasters we are left with and no way to replace them.

Bit of an over reaction!  Hppy for some/most of the "wasters" to leave, but wewould be left with a nucleous of above average players to build a young team around that believe in the Club and the Badge

It truly highlights how much this is becoming "who can get the last laugh?" because ONE POINT....what's purpose does that serve? Wasting everyone time and the PL are just so bitter.

I think it's more likely we appealed and so the PL thought that they may as well cross-appeal. If we didn't appeal I doubt whether they would have bothered. I certainly wouldn't assume that the PL started this appeal and so we, poor things, felt we had no choice. I reckon we started it because the recent results mean that if there is any chance of a reduction, however remote, they think they have to go for it.

So given the Commission thought 7 the right figure and knocked one point off because our financial position improved; didn't give an additional point for the failure to file accounts and neither increased it nor decreased the overall figure for cooperation, unless the Tribunal knocks out any part of the case on a point of law, I don't think it will interfere with the actual end number.

Surely the PL are acting wrongly in that they back dated the rules so we now fit in with them. Also seems suspicious that both appeals are on the same day.

That was the deadline for issuing an appeal.

The retrospective applying of rules question has never been addressed as far as I can tell.

Bit of a sweeping statement!

Not at all. In this scenario, players WILL want to leave. They play like they want to leave now so why would they stay given a transfer ban?

Agree with you but...We get it reduced by 2 points on appeal and those 2 points save us from going down. Probably the motivation for chucking more millions at lawyers. I guess a couple millions nothing compared to relegation.

No, and multiple cases of it being decreased (Forest and Everton). Most likely scenario is to get it to say 4 points which could be crucial in avoiding relegation.

Exactly I don't see why we wouldn't appeal surely it would have been silly not to?
