My 2 year old just passed me the remote like “cocomelon is better than this shite”

My 2 year old just coughed up lots of phlegm.

Totally irrelevant but still more exciting than watching us...

We all know how this ends, 3 or 4 conceded? Maybe more. Another week, same sh*t. Doesn't seem to matter what players start, we literally seem to assist the opposition every single game. Like we are actually trying to get relegated? Maybe that's boss baby and the gimps plan.

If you take the positives from that half;

• We responded well to an awful start.

• We looked to be running harder / competing more when 11 vs 11

• The 10 left on the pitch have stood up and ensured we saw the half out at 1-1

Still - it’s going to be a long second 45 minutes.

Because the whole forum is littered with people who just offer hate, bile and bitterness. I’ve never used the ‘ignore’ function until this last few months. Now add someone to it every couple of weeks, it seems. 😞

There’s an ignore function? Well, at least I’ve learned something from that half. To be fair I have only been on here about 20 years.

Better out than in - Jordan Ayew

Yeah, sorry to single you out. Was more a general thing.

None of the new players are going to be fit enough to last 90 mins and will need time to blend in, which is especially a worry in the case of Lascelles.

Yea, I'm worried our desperate situation will mean we can't gently break him in and he ends up crocked again. Praying that isn't the case, but think it will be more luck than judgement if so. 🙏

Most teams seem to struggle and find it hard to break a team down when playing against 10 men  ......

Apart from Charlton Athletic

Pereira shouldn't wear the shirt any more. Thank you for everything you've done in your day, but it's time to hang it up, son.

Surely he brings winks on and swaps one/both of the fullbacks

Not sure an in the pocket passer is the thing that’s needed when you’re down to 10.

There will need to be a midfielder switch at some point though.

Why are people so desperate for him to fail?

There's a difference between being desperate for him to fail, and knowing with 98% confidence that he will. People are fed up.

It's the manifestation of frustration towards the board. It's another example of overspending on wages (probably), and Southampton, a club in a similar state of disarray on the pitch, hate him for being slow and lazy. Two things we have plenty of and have to thank for our position.

If he starts to play well, fans will quickly change their opinions of him and give him his dues.

I know it has only been 45 minutes, but we've been here before.

It’s very rare for centre halves to be substituted off.

Lascelles is an experienced enough pro to be able to get himself through 90.

It’s the stuff during the week that will be eased and managed for him.
