Maybe because getting on the training ground and talking to the players is more important then having photo taken for the press release.

Ruud wasn’t even in the country when they announced him.

They've given a 6 year contract until the end of the season.

Good luck to him. Ease him in against his old club for his first game and then straight into a protest for his first home game.

I hope for his sakes he goes well does enough not just to keep us in the championship but enough to get the job long term, don't want another manager search in the summer.

Continuing into the Autumn, knowing how fast these clowns operate.

I can imagine from Rowett's point of view, he's aware a lot of players are out of contract come May and ones on high wages. That will free up room to start from scratch and build his own team. But all that depends if gets the chance beyond this season and if there's some sort of funds available for him to work with. However we are talking about Rudkin, who no doubt we will to be part of choosing that recruitment again...

Give Rowett some credit he clearly wanted the job, turned down Blackburn supposedly where they were offering him a long term deal. He's obviously certainly still see's us as a massive club with potential despite the problems.

Agree and hope he does really well.

I really get the impression though he has no idea how toxic it really is top to bottom. Hope to be proved very wrong but everything feels off.
