Why didn’t he put the other striker we have

on the bench?

We don't have another striker. Apparently Richards is a winger - and we have enough of them apparently.

Today was what I originally expected to see under Gary. However having seen us gain points on the road, I was foolishly optimistic heading into the ground.

I really wanted these last few matches to feel like cup finals, with a team who wanted to win. Nothing different today at all.

I thought we defended pretty well today bar the two goals but wingers are not really doing there bit to help out the defense even though it is limted.

Going forward we offered nothing (like I suggested could be a mentality thing at home as we looked good at Boro)

Should have made subs sooner as others said, you could see the pressure they was putting on us.

Should’ve made half time subs.

James for Skipp,

Monga/Mavididi/Aribo for ‘The Ghost of Bobby Reid™️’.

Lascelles for Okoli.

Monga/Mavididi (whoever didn’t replace The Ghost) for Daka.

The late subs were criminal. Could see that first goal coming ten minutes before.

Precisely my view too.

We were getting hammered. They adapted and found space in the middle and in front of our defence. Instead of playing the ball over the top, they were playing through their wingers and attacking midfield.

Had to have made changes earlier.

Disappointed we couldn't carry on from Tuesday's game. Really poor from too many players. Norwich weren't even that good first half.

I think fitness was probably the issue there with James and Lascelles.

And what we were lacking was physicality and aggression with 50-50s, second balls. Of your other suggestions, there's only really Aribo who offers that, and to be honest he's looked very pedestrian thus far. Monga has also offered very little all season, as understandable as that is. When we get over, and he gets over, him not being a generational talent, he might start to put in the energy and work-rate required to become, nonetheless, a very decent player. But he's 16, and it's not there yet.

Still, yes I take your point. It felt like we needed big changes that we didn't get, even if it's hard to say that the options at hand could have helped a great deal.

Its as if Top and Rudkin pick the team and the manager has no say.

This.

Surely now its apparent that the formation, players and system that the manager has limited influence and has to work within established boundaries. We've had exactly the same system with little deviation for so long now. I cannot believe Rowett turned up to the KP today and was given full authority other players and system. I cannot believe he would play his first home pretty much exactly as Marti did.

In defence of the subs, you have to assume he's had physios instructions for the players. I imagine they didn't want to use Lascelles at all unless genuinely forced and the less stress put on James the better. The odds of either being 100% is slim but we're desperate.

Even coming back from an Injury. James is better than Skipp in 50-50’s, more physical and as he’s more athletic, more likely to get to the second ball too.

We can moan, but to be fair, he was fuming at full time. His facial expression and body language epitomised everything. The manner in which he walked straight down the tunnel to the home dressing room said to me that he was ready to give some home truths!!

Of course. But it's a hamstring injury. Rowett admitted midweek that he'd be twisting the arm of medical staff to get people back. If he plays 45 and misses the next four weeks, which is standard for a hamstring aggravation, then there'd rightly be uproar.

Skip was woeful though. To keep him on for 90 was outright strange. We still had another sub, so coud have replaced Skipp with Page?

Daka is our only striker, we have about 8 'attackers who are better on the wing or in the 10' - hideous squad management by Rudkin

He appears to be another blaming the fear factor
The players are scared of playing at home...
It almost sounds like they are blaming the fans

Really pissed me off that did, first thing he said in the interview

Not wrong though is he? Telling me the ground isnt toxic and the players dont shit themselves playing there? 😂 Safe pass everytime because they are scared to take a risk
