Decent result would have taken that before kick off but that 2nd half we literally just sat back and let it become defence vs attack.
 

The lack of ambition to try and take games by the scruff of the neck, kill it off and win games could be what relegates us, criminal that we are unable to close games out at this level. Mentality is absolutely honking.

It isn't Rowett's fault we have the most unfit side in the league but we are a very tough watch.

I feel his changes were questionable… not necessarily who he brought on, but where they were asked to play.

 

Of course I’m mainly looking at the idea of playing James wide left to begin with.

 

I think there was an acknowledgment from Rowett himself that it was a bad move, because not long after James swapped with Mukusa… but then ended up on the right after Aribo came on, with Winks suggestively operating as a 10. 
 

Personally - I’d have been minded to take off Fawatu, or as a minimum, switch him to the left flank.

Great result all things considered; showed a bit of steel and effort that has been sorely lacking until recently. Even for the goal we made two very good last ditch challenges that almost prevented it.

I really don't know what's happened to these players. The three behind the striker a couple of year ago would be better than anything in this league. 

 

James should have come on as CAM at half time. Absolutely no way he should be on our bench. He needs to play alongside Winks though.
