Although I like to see these predictions on paper ... unfortunately we have to play on grass and this is where the reality lives,

Well sure. That’s such a truism it hardly seems worth mentioning…

Be hilarious if after all this we end up going on a 5 game winning run and are basically safe with 3 games left

It's not impossible, honestly.

If we don't pull clear in these next four I'll be extremely worried.

The run is split into four brackets.

4 winnable games

Standalone Swansea game which is a lottery based on what their form will be at that time

Big away games v Pompey and Blackburn

2 home games against promotion chasers sandwiched between Pompey and Blackburn

Should be aiming for at least 8 or 9 points from the next 4 games

Maybe... but I prefer the real life on grass results...

again, another pointless truism. Of course real life results are ‘better’ or more important than any sort of prediction or projection. In other news: water is wet.

Not pointless at all ... maybe you are one of these people who think these predictions mean why worry everything will be okay ... similar to a few seasons ago when we were relegated from the Premier league with a far far better squad than we have now ... when some were also saying we were to good to be relegated .... and look where we are now ... another prediction .... we are in the sh1t

Except in that season @Les-TA-Jon and his stats showed that we were really in the mire, the trend was terminal under Rodgers and it was highly likely we would be relegated........ Guess what happened next 😮

And all under the same owner, DOF, others and style of play  .... and stats mean very little until all is done and dusted ...  if you go onto the pitch before the game believing stats will win a game .... you really are deluded

You seem to think I’ve put some sort of agenda or opinion into the stats I’ve presented?

in fact, they’re simply an objective presentation of a few different PPG projections. Not sure why it’s seemingly riled you up seeing some numbers but hey ho.

Big changes after today with Oxford drawing and Blackburn/WBA both winning and us being shite.

I struggle to see how this is anything but a slide to relegation now. Not being able to fight for a result today speaks volumes. No idea how Rowett gets a consistent tune out of this lot, while Oxford are flying and West Brom got some fight back today.

I can see us stumbling on, being still within touching distance of safety through sheer luck, and then losing to Blackburn on the final day to get relegated. Highly on brand for us right now.

Always prefer this format as a way of comparing fixtures

This was already looking extremely hairy even before today’s results, which are an absolute disaster for our chances of survival.

It really does look odds on now, not sure anyone can deny that.

Points to be won and lost still. Nobody expected Blackburn to win at Millwall or Charlton to win at Middlesbrough. It will be tight but I still believe we will stay up.

The difference is other teams have grafters. We don’t. We are not capable of a 3-0 or beating Millwall, it just will not happen. We also don’t get much luck in terms of sending offs etc.

And we will continue with the same tried and tested formation.

I hope we stay up but with this squad and the same approach that hasn't worked in a long time, then it looks anything but ominous.

If the problem is lack of energy for 90mins play some of the young lads like Page, Aluka, S Thomas

Thomas asked who the leaders are and responds first with “hamza is a big character”. There you go. That’s why we are ****ed

My heart sank reading that.

We re down.
