With the lad up front and now looks like the Finnish giant at the back, these look on paper like pretty good, low risk punts. I know we're still left with senior players that are absolute gross, but we've got rid of a lot and the players we've brought in - maybe not so much Cullen so far but early days - haven't been too bad. One of our better windows, though our starting point is so poor it's not making much difference on the pitch yet until we can get skipp/okoli/Souttar out of the team.

Remember him well.  What a beast of a lump he was.  Bloody useless, yes, but his size  alone scared the pants of every defender he played against it was hilarious to watch.

35 but certainly feels like the sort of signing we've regretted making in recent times. Perhaps if it's a one year deal heavily based around incentives as opposed to the two year guaranteed money deal Rudkin prefers.

 

Depends, if we offload a couple of centre backs quickly we'll need to replace them quickly. He does have height and experience on his side.

The only veteran CB that i'd have loved us to sign is Ben Mee, but sadly he's retired.

I wonder if your source is the same as mine? I heard the same from someone very close to Coventry who is always accurate. Although he did tell me that he would be unlikely to drop to league 1 and that atleast two championship clubs have enquired also.

Now we’ve used up our two ESC squad spots, we’re now very restricted in terms of where we can shop.

 

I expect the rest of our signings to be England or Scotland based, unless we pluck someone from Netherlands or Belgium where their leagues fall in category 2 making players from those two countries easier to sign. Another Nordic based player for example now becomes virtually impossible, unless they play for someone like Bodo/Glimt or have a good number of international caps.

 

I reckon names like John Souttar and maybe the likes of Woolfenden, Latibeaudiere, Edmundson crop up in the coming days, those are the types of players I expect will be linked now.
